👍 Also good that they repeat the demand to inspect the roofs. As LW points out, the only conclusion you can draw is that they have something to hide.

Yesterday the legend MXT posted that UA has now finally begun to apply a stranglehold on Klischiivka.
Andriivka, Kurdymuivka, and Ozarianivka will also fall so that line is now lost.
The Russian team has already prepared defenses on the Opytne – lower Zaitseve line and it is a NS watercourse but then the buildings in Bakhmut are exposed.
There are also many ravines to sneak through so UA can now establish quite a bit of forward reconnaissance and SOF in that area.
The buildings in Bakhmut are now lost – it went quiet after the second legend Erik14 posted the other night that UA is inside and sneaking around in the buildings in Bakhmut so it is still unclear and rumors at best.
Fighting is also ongoing north of Bakhmut, I have heard that the 200th brigade has conducted counterattacks which went as they always do – many dead Russians.
The question is what is defending the Opytne – lower Zaitseve line with.
The question is where they have withdrawn to, to the Svitlodarsk – Popasna line.
When you start running out and have rotated back tired brigades, the defense only becomes weaker, right?
All those who thought Bakhmut would be abandoned and used their social platforms to form opinion surely understand today the value of the town holding out as long as it did.
A flypaper for Russian units – they avoided the entire Wagner group of confirmed 25,000 men and have moved several brigades from the southern front to Bakhmut, and several VDV regiments are being heavily decimated there now.
Then when they retreat to the Svitlodarsk – Popasna line it is an ambitious defense but what is required then is to man the defense – a hole without a Russian in it is just a hole.
You cannot abandon the Bakhmut front because then the city of Luhansk falls so they will be forced to defend with a large number – that’s where the one who posted the big campaign plan thought the Bakhmut front had done its job.
UA will also project a threat against Horlivka from the north which then must be defended with more units to function as an anchor in this defensive line.
Very good and for those who doubted UA’s ability to conduct an offensive they have now shown what they are capable of. It is VDV and guards units that have defended the area and they are retreating – RU is deploying their best and losing.
Then MXT hits with a post this morning that UA is increasing pressure up at Soledar – full speed along the entire front, very exciting. We know Yakolivka is dominant terrain that must be taken.
Got an update last night – if you remember Dengamle outed the whole plan to kidnap Putin at the BRIICS meeting when he was drinking at Pizzeria Rialto in Luanda.
Plan changed and Dengamle was to be moved with the UNITA patrol to Putin’s residence in Krasnodar (thought Altai but that was wrong) for a good old in-and-out kidnapping.
According to the message, the rescue operation to bring Dengamle home has just been completed, the UNITA patrol disappeared already when they stopped over in Turkey and took the chance to emigrate to Italy.
Dengamle continued because he had a plane ticket, the luggage got lost of course but he arrived as planned in Georgia.
He crossed the border followed by a long walk and that’s probably where things went off plan. Dengamle apparently grilled a steak in the evening near some black bear den. It’s not entirely clear what happened but when the exfiltration codeword, Blue-Excalibur, was sent it was accompanied by a “very quick please”.
During exfiltration he came running without shoes with a piece of half-raw grilled steak with a bear tooth in one hand and a huge black tuft of hair in the other muttering something about “bear bastards are the same everywhere”.
It seems Putin will survive a while longer, Dengamle will probably update us when he’s back in the thread after some rest.

👍 We are probably only a couple of weeks away from a complete collapse at Bakhmut and then maybe it’s also time for Ukraine to step up!
Too bad for DENGAMLE that it didn’t go according to plan for him. But at least he got a bear tooth as a souvenir! 🤣

Now a bit of criticism of the West again, hard to stay away from it.
The Russian state is systematically trying to wipe out Ukraine’s economy just like Saddam did with Kuwait’s oil fields.
Khakovka was not to cover a retreat, it was to destroy the dam when they had it under their control
They will do the same with Enerhodar not to cause a nuclear accident but to drain Ukraine’s economy.
The grain as well, when they failed to stop it with threats they chose to try to destroy all infrastructure to make transport impossible.
You can be absolutely sure that when it gets cold they will attack the electricity infrastructure again.
Since the first weeks of the war they have engaged in ethnic cleansing and incomprehensible torture of civilian Ukrainians.
They have a widespread system of kidnapping children who are adopted in Russia and they have started colonizing conquered areas on a large scale, there are nice apartments now empty after the previous owners were tortured to death.
Now Russia, and the Soviet Union, have behaved like this for quite a while, Afghanistan, Chechnya, Georgia, Syria, and CAR but the world has let them be.
During the Cold War it was proxy wars but above all they had to keep control of Eastern Europe and their own population with an enormous oppressive regime.
The KGB had so much to do that they had to do like the Tax Agency and simply accuse you of something and then it was up to you as the accused to prove you were innocent.
Now they were smarter than that because the accused was thrown into a cell and had very little chance to prove their innocence and thus was guilty and could be sent to the Gulag – they avoided burning out their employees with extensive investigations.
The West did not react at all when Russia invaded Moldova.
Halfway through the Ukraine war the West was very engaged in the genocide but lately this war has started to be normalized.
Just like a vampire Russia thrives in oblivion and twilight, had they won the war the world would never have learned about the genocide and we would have thought that the Ukrainian at work who always shouted when the war came up was exaggerating and socially difficult. No country can behave like this.
Not even Ukraine themselves understood what was going on in the beginning.
Solros2022 is pushing this hard and now the thread is very affected again after Putin decided to cut off the grain, but the West as a collective is starting to slowly lose interest.
All organizations that always think about the world’s vulnerable have been poor at best, for some reason Ukraine was not a worthy war to engage in. That was clear from the start.
The UN, or especially Guterres, has made strong statements but that is probably mostly because of him as a person.
Russia is probably doing everything it can to shift focus or relativize this and it is good that the thread gets upset and wants to discuss these things so it stays on the table.
There is a story that makes you shudder every time you think about it – a Latvian freedom fighter who was captured and tortured where the coroner’s dry description was hard to take in – the eyeballs had six puncture wounds probably from wire, violence, violence, violence and both testicles had been torn out after a hole was ripped open.
Then we have the mother who was forced to watch her five-year-old daughter be violated, tortured and finally murdered after which she was released and the soldiers stood and laughed when she failed to take her own life.
Now we have had a long discussion in the thread where quite a few are upset that the West is not doing enough and others argue that the West is doing what they can and that they know best.
Taking the above into account, I think the West is criminally slow.
We have, admittedly, acted more decisively than during the Yugoslav wars and we have probably avoided a world war with a bit of luck.
But dithering with weapons for a year and a half and not doing the strategic communication that could be done to get Russia to back off is incomprehensible.
There are countless heroes who are only mourned by a burnt-out wife and traumatized children, a photo on the stovetop and burnt-out candles.
I usually get stress reactions when you can’t do anything about certain problems, this war must be eating many in Ukraine from the inside and the longer time goes on the more people get permanent damage from it.
As we have already discussed – the UA offensive is progressing and this is another discussion, that the West is not doing enough. UA will win the war anyway but the suffering will be significantly higher than it needed to be because the West is still tiptoeing around the Russia issue.
After the NATO meeting, Putin immediately sped up to start threatening the West – he felt that the West was divided at the NATO meeting…
Terrible strategic communication and the result became the opposite of what they intended.
https://twitter.com/golub/status/1683506463891701760?s=46&t=yE4-LfOthIbCzVQ3wD85fw
Then we have all the whining about the spring offensive and all the doubters – one can only thank the gods that Zelensky has integrity and did not succumb to peer pressure and start demanding costly attacks from his commanders just to not lose trust in the West.
He went out immediately and explained that this is how it looks, we are pressing on and stay calm.
Many as employees have pushed their unit when higher-ups come with unrealistic demands instead of confronting the boss and Zelensky is the middle manager with the most integrity in the public sector.
Zelensky will go down in history, the West’s dithering will probably go down in history as us doing what we have always done – too little too late.
This is how well the Russian team is doing – russian national suicide 🤣

+1000
That should go into every newspaper, Swedish and foreign so that more than just us get to hear about it!
Well written in every way!
13:13 – Johan No.1
Yep, it’s starting to get close at Bakhmut now and UA still has 60-70% of the offensive reserves at the Bakhmut front and they are fighting against VDV.
If that’s not wizard level in how to kill Russians, I don’t know what is.
13:28 – Johan No.1
Well, I was well over the acceptable level yesterday when I was going to toast my brother with a white Russian which when it arrived was just Irish cream and vodka in a large glass but tonight you almost have to open a craft beer (Star…) and toast Ukraine.
The world’s best infantry is grinding on and despite all the doubters they perform miracles every day all week.
Now that line has fallen, there are two communities S around it that they are now hitting from a new direction.
Then the problems for VDV in Bakhmut quickly increased exponentially and it’s just a matter of time 😀

13:30 – Johan No.1
If Erik14’s information that UA is already in the built-up area in Bakhmut is correct, this is well on its way to collapsing.
13:33 – Johan No.1
Maybe one should play it safe and go buy some fine drinks so you don’t end up without a toast when UA eventually reaches Azov.
13:33 – Johan No.1
Thanks for that MXT 😀
Exciting info you posted below 👍
13:58 – Johan No.1
Yeah, there will be many reasons to pop open bottles going forward 😀

🍻 Definitely worth celebrating!

It’s never too late to convert MRF 😀
Yeah, I lean towards them blowing up Enerhodar too when it’s time to retreat, would be surprised if they don’t.
A last torture and murder campaign in conquered areas we can probably be quite sure of getting as well and all artillery and rockets that can be sent against Ukraine, any targets.
If they are about to retreat, orders go out to all units to try to shoot up the ammunition, especially the artillery.
15:35 – MatsExtrude
Yes, liberation might come at a huge cost if the Russians choose to destroy as much as possible.
Let’s hope it becomes a panic retreat so they don’t manage it and just leave..
15:46 – Johan No.1
Yeah, that would be best or that the army refuses to fight, both hot contenders.
18:00 – Johan No.1
Outside the city of Donetsk up to Horlivka, Ukraine has units for defense but not much offensive capacity, i.e. numbers. There are a couple of very capable brigades there.
RU seems to have left the area to be defended by DPR and LPR, the unit maps are a bit ambiguous but it feels like something RU could do – a quick fix that solves the acute personnel shortage.
That said – UA has an offensive reserve, for example they have fought with 30% at Bakhmut of available units, so they can definitely pool something there.
I have thought that they break through towards Mariupol and then go behind the southern front and up towards the northeast so they are behind all defense lines.
Between Donetsk – Horlivka where we are today, it’s the old ceasefire line, or ATO, and it’s probably quite well defended one would guess?
After locking the Russians in Crimea and clearing the southern front, Donetsk is probably next in line, I guess.
My two cents 😀

How good that the IAEA now announces that there are mining operations when they previously said something like “we have not seen any explosives at all but we have also not been given access to any areas” – terrible communication.
Who do you think used the IAEA as a credible source to claim that Ukraine lied?
