This quote from the article feels system-threatening?
“In a report from the EU Commission, it is stated that Swedish crime annually generates half of Sweden’s national budget.”

In the past, criminals couldn’t buy homes with their criminal money; they lived in shabby rental apartments and drove cash-paid Porsches (a bit wrong but not entirely wrong).
The working class had a Toyota Corolla but could buy a house, so in the long run, a legal life was more attractive; one ended their working life with an unencumbered house that had increased in value by many millions.

When EncroChat was cracked, the police understood that every clan or gang with some self-respect had a “personal banker” who solved their problems. Apparently, a mortgage today costs 1 million SEK to obtain, after which the criminals have a house they pay off with their drug money.

Since the line between criminal and legal life has now been blurred and one can live well as a criminal, at least I think the situation is serious. I read about a hotel in some small town run by a completely clean couple – they went bankrupt. It was then bought by a criminal with a long criminal record at an auction by the Enforcement Authority, and he turned it directly into a drug center.
You could google the person immediately and see his background, so no surprise for the Enforcement Authority.

We are thus already at a point where the criminals have so much means that they can bribe their way to whatever they want at all levels, and considering the increasing violence, they can probably threaten their way to the rest or simply clear obstacles out of the way – feels a bit like Mexico…

Was probably a reply to the sink bomb…
