Yesterday my thoughts went to those who are no longer with us and today to the shooters.
The only thing that matters is the shooters (collective name), see it a bit like a company and the nourishing and the draining. If the nourishing stop working, the company goes under and often the draining fail to make that connection and that they only have a job because of the nourishing.

The shooters are those lying soaked in the trenches in eastern Ukraine, ready to sacrifice their lives every day for “freedom”. They fight well for their unit and their loved ones at home but overall it is the whole of Europe that benefits from their sacrifice.

They have children, they have parents, they have siblings, they have partners who all suffer from worry every day.
Every day they can fall and every day they can get the impossible task, they lie right in the way and get run over.

It is these men and women who must get all the support and they must feel that the world stands with them and that there is a future. If it had been Sweden, it would have been us lying in a trench with some anti-tank weapons and waiting and our families at home.

I must admit that the local talent here who resigned has significantly higher ability than I guessed – you remember the lousy project manager and his accomplice in the Netherlands who has quite a high position and is a bit of a godfather “if you get on his bad side you are burned in the organization” someone said at one point. The local talent is going to work for the client and he plays his cards superbly so there is a cascade effect here right now. Likely the project manager will be fired and the godfather in the Netherlands might also go if the local talent manages to whip up the right sentiment. We’ll see what has happened when the smoke has cleared, it’s fun anyway 😀

Regarding Sweden and Gripen – right now
the WHOLE West and allies must rearm so EVERYTHING will be sellable. Sweden did PR for the weapons and now it’s time to get the business going too. We will sell Gripen, we can modify Leo2 if we buy in, CV90, GRG, anti-tank weapons and whatever else we manufacture. Even uniforms and such will be sellable if we just commit to it. Will save jobs now if there is a recession and we have de facto world-leading weapon systems.

At the southern front units were not grouped but reactive which is still strange today and I believe the truth was that Zelensky didn’t want to provoke so he had not ordered full mobilization before.

So the anniversary has passed with all that it entailed, Budanov’s rampages in Russia continue unabated and now Putin will try to win an election in a neat way in less than a month.
Ukraine is retreating in several places right now, that’s the reality when the West doesn’t send ammunition but Iran, North Korea and China do instead but that has an end date. The ammunition is on the way but has not yet reached the units.

Then it seems the US has started to deal with the rebels and saboteurs so the support package will probably arrive within a couple of weeks.

What the West doesn’t understand is that this betrayal has hit Ukraine hard and the country is struggling to cope with it. We must hope that we have learned the lesson and going forward give our unconditional support all the way to a smashing victory. This is high risk but Zelensky seems to have the situation under control.

Really hope that all the demonstrations for Ukraine we saw yesterday can also be turned into increased tangible support, if it doesn’t work out with the USA it will be urgent otherwise.
