Did Russians create a KILLER of Ukrainian UAVs? Review of the captured «Sokol», which was neutralized by the fighters of the 57th OMBR
Russian interceptor drones, including the Sokol and other cheap styrofoam models equipped with RGO grenades, are being used in the Kharkiv region and Vovchansk direction.

What is the best way to shoot down drones? Right now at the front, the most effective option is the "Sokol" interceptor drone.
Speaker 2
Serhiy, what is this you've put on the table for us here?
Speaker 1
Unexpected, wasn't it? Here, is this exactly the "Solomiya" product that you put? Tell me, where did you find it?
Speaker 2
Yes, I found it in the 57th Separate Mechanized Brigade, thanks to the soldiers who provided it to me so that we could show it to you, the viewers. This drone was brought down, as I understand, by EW, jammed, and it simply landed on the positions near our guys. They pulled it out from there quickly and handed it over to us so that we could examine it in detail and tell you exactly what kind of anti-aircraft drones the Russians are using in their practice.
Speaker 1
It is made of styrofoam, which makes it extremely cheap, and the Russians are very pleased that it's still undetected somewhere on the radars. And the most insane part is, all of this is done for the sake of the RGO. They inserted the RGOs here like this, and it is supposed to detonate remotely. There are many defensive grenades in the links there, at some distance. Accordingly, it's a working cheap scheme, like everything the Russians have. Look, there's a lot of some kind of glue here. And just to hold it at least
Speaker 2
A little bit.
Speaker 1
Think you'll just hold it? Hold it.
Speaker 2
How does it start by hand?
Speaker 1
It is launched by hand, but most importantly, hold on. And now, dear viewer, you will hear—this is a Chinese probe, ordinary, cheap; of course, Russians buy it. But just listen to how it sounds. Do you hear? It's like a jet.
Speaker 2
Listen, what's the price of it anyway?
Speaker 1
The price is not disclosed, but it is quite cheap. And what's here
Speaker 2
What do you think are the most expensive parts in this drone?
Speaker 1
The propeller is quite powerful. There are still stacks left here. There is a video transmitter remaining there as well. The tensioner is located here. The initiation board is located here; it stretches. A cool device. It's just impressive, not even what we said about it, that the Russians are so cheap, but the fact that it was possible to land it undamaged and disassemble it. And at the same time, the interceptor was hunting our aircraft. Our aircraft are flying in somewhere deep. It's not as if it's flying in our rear and looking for which aircraft will turn back for it to hunt. And it's very interesting to hear from the specialists who managed to do this.
Speaker 2
Exactly this kind of drone, a Russian interceptor. Fighters of the 57th Brigade struck it for the first time in June. We will ask the unit itself for more about how it appeared in the unit. Now we have Ruslana Bohdan on the line, and we will find out from her: Ruslana, how did it appear with you and how did it get there so intact?
Speaker 3
I am very glad to see it in your studio, very glad to tell the viewers about it. Because, actually, this drone is a memory of our fallen comrade. The thing is, two brothers were at the position where it landed. They took it with them from the position, and after some time, one of the brothers died. Therefore, this drone was a memory of a brother for our fighter. However, he handed it over, understanding that it is such a valuable and currently rare—at least for now—exhibit, and considering that it is completely intact, he handed it over to the communications department so that we could show it and tell about it. Basically, that is the story of this trophy.
Speaker 1
Ms. Ruslana, this drone, as I understand it, where is it being sent further? Yes,
Speaker 2
we will definitely return it to
Speaker 1
to Doctor Ruslana. Not that they took things for themselves here. And it is worth noting that there are still many working, functioning parts here, which, I am sure, the specialists of the 57th can later solder onto some craft, which will then return to strike the Russians further.
Speaker 2
Ruslana, please tell me, how often do you encounter drones of this type in general? And perhaps there are some others that you frequently encounter? I'm just curious, maybe interceptors?
Speaker 3
Overall, literally half an hour before this broadcast, near our line, but where we also monitor the air, actually, a Sokol was also flying. Our people warned about this. We detected it and they warned us about it. Generally, Sokols are still a fairly rare target. However, the occupiers did indeed use them. Overall, Malene or the Kharkiv region is very saturated with various types of drones. Here, besides fiber optics, kill zones, there are, of course, very many Molniyas, actually. And this cannot fail to please our anti-aircraft battery pilots, because it is indeed interesting for them to work here. And many Molniyas actually fly in. The guys destroy about 20-30 per week. Besides this, there are also Lancets. And actually, a lot—basically everything the enemy has, they are using here in the Vovchansk direction.
