Putin denies new mobilization – Russian losses

Putin dismisses rumors of a new mobilization in Russia as “absolute nonsense” while simultaneously threatening massive attacks on Ukraine’s energy sector. The statement came during a press conference after the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) summit in Kyrgyzstan. This was roughly how it sounded from him during the first half of 2022 before he mobilized over 300,000 reservists in September, so his statement is completely meaningless and can almost rather be interpreted as a mobilization coming. According to a post, a factory “Proton-PM” in Perm caught fire. Proton-PM is one of the leading companies in the Russian rocket and space industry and apparently specializes in the production of liquid-fuel rocket engines as well as components for the aviation and space industry. It is still unclear why it started burning, but it sounds like a suitable target otherwise for Ukraine. Link to the post.

The Kremlin has mentioned a three-way meeting between Trump, Putin, and XI at the APEC meeting in November. One might wonder what the three are supposed to cook up. Article here.

On September 2nd, Russian schools are to hold lessons dedicated to Corporal Alexander Vlasenkov who died in Ukraine and was posthumously awarded the title Hero of Russia by Vladimir Putin. That he fled to the front line because he had ended up in the police register for pedophilia and had large debts he wanted to avoid will probably not be mentioned. Read more here.

Zelenskyy has warned civil aviation in Russia. Not because there is an active intention to attack it but because the airspace is now unsafe due to all the drones. Putin, the vile little clown, calls it terrorism even though Russia already forced Ukraine to completely shut down its civil aviation when the war started. That the whole world simply doesn’t just burst out laughing at Putin’s nonsense and tell him to shut up is incomprehensible. Read more here.

Operational information as of 08:00 on September 2, 2026, regarding the Russian invasion

The 1652nd day of the Russian Federation’s full-scale armed aggression against Ukraine has begun.

During the last day, a total of 213 combat contacts were recorded. Yesterday, the enemy carried out one missile strike and 93 air strikes, during which 313 guided aerial bombs were dropped. In addition, the attackers used 11,511 kamikaze drones and conducted 2,969 shellings against communities and our troops’ positions, of which 57 were with rocket artillery.

In the Sumy region, among others, the communities of Korenok, Sopych, Tovstodubove, Neskuchne, Ulanove, Yunakivka, and Volfyne were subjected to hostile artillery shelling. Additionally, the areas around Tovstodubove, Vilna Sloboda, Khotin, and Khrapivshchyna were subjected to air strikes.

During the last day, the defense forces’ aviation, missile units, and artillery struck 10 areas with concentrations of enemy personnel, six command posts for unmanned aerial vehicles, five artillery pieces, and another important enemy target.

On the northern Slobozhansky and Kursk sectors, our defenders repelled six enemy assault attempts during the last day.

On the southern Slobozhansky sector, Ukrainian units repelled seven enemy attacks. The attackers tried to advance towards the communities of Volokhivka, Khatnie, and Bochkove as well as in the areas around Vovchanski Khutory and Starytsia.

On the Kupyansk sector, the enemy attacked six times towards the communities of Radkivka, Kupyansk-Vuzlovyi, Kurylivka, Dovhenke, and Kivsharivka.

Attempts to break into our defense were repelled on the Lyman sector, where the occupiers conducted nine attacks towards the communities of Novoosynove, Drobysheve, Cherneshchyna, Olhivka, Lyman, and Dibrova.

On the Slovyansk sector, the enemy conducted three assault attempts towards the communities of Ozerne and Mykolaivka as well as in the area around Kryva Luka.

On the Kramatorsk sector, the occupiers conducted one attack towards Yurkivka.

On the Kostyantynivka sector, 28 attacks were recorded. The attackers conducted assault operations in the areas around Kostyantynivka, Illinivka, Novoselivka, Stepanivka, and Sofiivka as well as towards Novopavlivka and Vilne.

On the Pokrovsk sector, our defenders repelled 25 attacks. The enemy was active towards the communities of Novyi Donbas, Serhiivka, Novopidhorodnie, and Novopavlivka as well as in the areas around Udachne, Muravka, Molodetske, and Horikhove.

On the Oleksandrivka sector, the Russian attackers conducted no active offensive operations.

On the Huljajpole sector, the occupiers attacked our defenders’ positions 13 times. The enemy tried to advance towards the communities of Vozdvyzhivka, Rizdvianka, Verkhnia Tersa, and Charivne.

On the Orikhiv sector, our defenders stopped two enemy attempts to advance towards Pavlivka.

On the Prydniprovsk sector, the enemy conducted no assault operations during the last day.

On the Volyn and Polissya sectors, no signs have been detected that the enemy is forming offensive force groupings.

In total, the Russian attackers’ losses during the last day amounted to 1,390 personnel. In addition, four tanks, six armored fighting vehicles, 62 artillery systems, two rocket artillery systems, one air defense system, 12 ground-based missile systems, 1,969 unmanned aerial vehicles, 383 vehicles, and two units of special equipment were neutralized.
