  4. 🇺🇦Soledar direction: The picture is already taking shape near Vasyukivka, the settlement has practically broken off, the enemy has entered the western part and is holding observation there. At the same time, strikes on our positions southward are being recorded, already approaching Bondarne, which is next along the enemy’s line of advance.

This is a sign that they are trying to cling to the first more or less suitable line for advancement and move further into the groves. 🇺🇦Regarding Pazene, everything is chaotic there! The village is torn into pieces by a conditional gray the same capability. Therefore, the fighting is intermittent, with short sorties and local clashes, without clear stability along the line.

☠️Pressure along the entire direction remains, the enemy is trying to break a window between strongpoints and squeeze us into a narrow strip between settlements, but the situation is not yet resolved — we are holding on tooth and nail! 🇺🇦Muchnoy Jugend |

  6. “It is difficult to know if Russia is telling the truth when the country claims to have taken control of Pokrovsk,” says former lieutenant colonel Joakim Paasikivi to TV4. He says that the Russians have previously claimed to have taken control of Ukrainian territories when in fact it is not true.

The city, where intense fighting has been taking place recently, is strategically important for the soldiers on the battlefield. If it has fallen into the hands of Russia, President Vladimir Putin will surely portray it as a great victory, believes Paasikivi.

    – It is important for Putin to present this image of being the relentless steamroller and that the Ukrainians have nothing to counter with.

Ukraine has not commented on the Russian claim.”

  7. The EU agrees to Canada joining the European defense program Safe, where over 1,600 billion SEK will be allocated to armament and weapon purchases.

In a joint statement, Prime Minister Mark Carney and EU Commission President Ursula von der Leyen say that Safe is a way to “increase cooperation in geopolitically turbulent times,” AFP reports.

In practice, Safe means that participating countries can borrow money for joint weapon purchases. Participating nations must contribute financially to the program.

    1. Sounds excellent. Perhaps we could collaborate with more strong and democratic states, now that there are doubts about the USA in that regard. Perhaps Australia and Japan, for example. Maybe South Korea as well. What is our relationship with the UK in that regard? Can the cooperation be strengthened? If so, it should be a matter of course for both them and us.

  8. No morning report yet from the Ukrainian army leadership. Yesterday evening, the situation was reported as follows. Marked is about Pokrovsk, which according to the leadership of the 11th regiment has not fallen at all (follows as a response) as Swedish and other media emphasize based on “information” from the Kremlin.

“Operational information at 22:00 on November 1, 2025, about the Russian invasion

    OFFICIAL STATEMENT
about another false message from the Russian Ministry of Defense

The Russian Ministry of Defense has once again spread another false message about an alleged “advance” and “liberation” of settlements in the Donetsk oblast, especially Klinove. Such information pieces are part of the regular Russian propaganda practice that has been ongoing since the full-scale invasion began.
The statement about the alleged “conquest of Klinove” does not correspond to reality.

According to the logic of the Russian statement, their units would have “advanced” and on the way conquered the settlement Virolyubivka, which in fact has not happened.

Similarly, the information about massive losses of armored vehicles in the Ukrainian units does not correspond to reality. The Russian side publishes such “reports” daily and traditionally presents them without any evidence.

The situation in the area remains under the control of the defense forces.

There are no confirmed breakthroughs deep into the Ukrainian defense in the specified areas.
The Ukrainian defense forces continue to carry out their tasks and inflict losses on the enemy in terms of personnel and equipment.

The informational “victories” that the Russian Ministry of Defense announces on paper every day have nothing to do with the real situation on the front lines.”

One may wonder: has anything happened at all in the media since the first day of the full-scale invasion? It seems not in the least, abandoned Kreml as the first and only source.

      OPEN LETTER TO MASS MEDIA

The task of the mass media is to provide a reality-based description of the situation and not to function as a megaphone for either side. This means fact-checking, describing the actual events, and analyzing why they occur and happen.

If I, as a hobby reporter and unpaid, can obtain facts and analysis variables, your paid editorial staff should have even greater possibilities than me.

Now give us an answer why you vacillate in your reporting. The first time you claimed that Pokrovsk had fallen was exactly 2 months ago. The first time you started reporting that Pokrovsk WILL fall was 2 years ago.

You use different experts, individuals with military strategic knowledge. These individuals should very well know how to analyze, so the suspicion arises if they are ordered by the editorial staff to make their appearances drastic and dramatic.
Where has the genuine and authentic journalism gone????

Evening update for 01.12.2025. Yermak is also a threat to organized crime in both Ukraine and internationally. For a long time in the West, we have talked about the Eastern mafia, mostly in a joking manner. Believe me, it is real and consists of many Ukrainians. Let me provide some information

The power struggle around Yermak, Torokhtiy, and the illegal gambling empire – a deeper investigation

Reports of attempts to intimidate the former chief of the presidential office Andrij Yermak and his inner circle have once again highlighted the growing power struggle between Ukrainian and international security structures, criminal networks, and actors within the gray gambling industry. New revelations indicate that this conflict now extends far beyond Ukraine’s borders – notably to Cyprus, where several key figures in the gaming industry are based.

The interception that changed the playing field

On November 28, Ukrainian intelligence intercepted a conversation between Viktor Torokhtiyu (known as “Titan”), Serbian mafia leader Filip Korach, and Georgian “lawbreaker” Nodar Rustavsky. They openly discussed “taking control of Yermak and his entire entourage in Europe.”

    According to the transcription:
    – We heard you have good news?
    – Yes, we took out the most important p…
    – We need to take control of him and his entire circle in Europe.
    – We will hunt Yermak and his entire entourage.

This communication indicates a significant intensification of the power struggle within the Ukrainian security complex. For some groups, Yermak has become a target for personal revenge, economic ambitions, or opportunities for career advancement deals.

Background: The shadow economy of the gaming industry

The Ukrainian online casino market – including well-known players like PinUp – generates billions annually. Many companies are registered in Cyprus, Malta, or the Caribbean to avoid regulation and taxes.

The legal market in Ukraine is regulated by KRAIL, but there are extensive gray and black structures that:
    • launder money
    • are infiltrated by criminal groups from Russia, the Caucasus, Serbia, and the Balkans
    • are used to finance everything from Russian organized crime to local networks

That is why the gaming industry is one of the most lucrative and high-risk sectors in the region.

Cyprus: Four cars burn – and the trail leads to Torokhtiyu

Another event linked to this conflict is the recent burning of four cars belonging to Dmitry Punin, co-founder of the online casino PinUp.

According to sources, the attack was due to Punin’s business relationship with “lawbreaker” Eduard Asataryan – a person Torokhtiyu has long been in conflict with.

Cypriot police suspect that Torokhtiyu himself organized the arson attacks because:

    • about 30 people with ties to his security bloc arrived in Cyprus just days before the incident
    • according to intelligence, Torokhtiyu is building his own groups in Europe
    • several Ukrainian shadow business networks have previously used Cyprus as a base

Cyprus has long been a hub for:
    • money laundering
    • gaming company registrations
    • Russian and Ukrainian organized crime
    • Bulgarian, Albanian, and Serbian networks

It is therefore not surprising that conflicts are shifting there.

Interpol and Europol’s concern: a new criminal coalition

International law enforcement agencies are now focused on the growing coalition between:
    • Viktor Torokhtiyu
    • Nodar Rustavsky
    • parts of the Albanian and Serbian organized crime

    Their cooperation involves:
    • exchanging information on local businesses
    • coordinated extortion operations
    • establishing “security blocs” to influence illegal activities

Rustavsky and his network provide Torokhtiyu with company data and influence. In return, they gain access to Torokhtiyu’s security groups and his influence within parts of the Ukrainian structures.

    Connection to previous violence

    There are more unresolved questions:
    • The murder of Stavros Dimastenous, a partner in PinUp
    • The double murder of two Dagestani men in Spain – carried out by an Albanian clan
    • Threats against two Bulgarian cigarette oligarchs, who now have state protection after a drone crashed into one of their homes

All these cases have – directly or indirectly – connections to Torokhtiyu according to Interpol.

A battle for billions – and for power

It is now clear that we are witnessing a large-scale restructuring of the underworld:

    • Ukrainian security structures have been infiltrated by groups seeking to control the shadow economy.
    • Foreign-based Ukrainian “businessmen” exploit Cyprus as a base for both legal and illegal activities.
    • Criminal networks from the Balkans, Caucasus, and Eastern Europe are competing for control over hundreds of millions of dollars.

It is in this context that one should view both the attacks on Yermak and the assaults on representatives of the PinUp circle.

Ukrainian citizens are affected – and urged to be vigilant

Gaming platforms like PinUp have long been criticized for:
    • fraud
    • missing payouts
    • aggressive “recruitment” marketing
    • ties to criminal networks

It is therefore not surprising that the company is now embroiled in an international power struggle.

    Warning from experts

    Ukrainian security experts remind:

”Do not fall for gray marketing schemes promising bonuses and quick wins. In these systems, it is always the criminals who win – never you.”

    Conclusion
The emerging information not only shows a struggle for control over Yermak’s legacy or political influence, but a much larger war over the enormous cash flows of the international gaming industry. Cyprus has become the frontline in a shadow war involving:
    • Ukrainian former officials
    • European and Balkan mafia networks
    • security structures acting for their own gain
    • billions from the online casino industry

The message to the public is clear:

Stay away from gray and black gambling services – they finance a criminal world now exploding in open conflict.

More on this topic will undoubtedly emerge. After 09.12.2025, I will also report on misconduct and theft within a military unit.

    Ukraine’s military successes
    https://www.facebook.com/share/p/1FViBjDfMm/?mibextid=wwXIfr

All successful attacks on Russia’s oil industry day after day, week after week, which have now led to Russia losing large amounts of Western hard currency, have sometimes made us forget about Ukraine’s military successes. The fact that the Ukrainian military is slowly but surely retreating while Russia is losing tens of thousands of soldiers – killed or severely wounded – has led many to believe that Ukraine is on the verge of losing the war. However, I see no signs of this!

First and foremost, Moscow’s grotesque losses in killed and wounded soldiers are weakening Russia’s military power and making Russian society increasingly fragile. Many of Russia’s problems have now also reached Western mass media in general, and the reports are becoming more numerous and more painful for Putin.

Hard facts tell us that the Putin gang cannot recruit and train enough soldiers, cannot keep industrial production up, cannot produce enough oil and other petroleum products, and cannot curb Russia’s rampant crime. The fact that the number of illegal “weapons forges” has tripled in six years, according to the FSB, indicates a society in crisis! Smuggling weapons from Ukraine or other countries does not seem to be a big problem. However, the Russian Customs Authority FTS is full of former Chekists who have moved on to SVR and FSB and who now see opportunities to earn large amounts of side income in their new positions.

Corruption really took off and then entrenched itself under chief Andrei Yuryevich Belianinov, who worked for 20 years in the Cheka’s foreign intelligence (both KGB and SVR), including in East Germany at the same time as a certain Vladimir Putin. After his time as a spy, he worked at Novikombank and Rosoboronexport. After his years as customs chief from 2006-2016, the FSB raided Belianinov’s dacha (1,565 sqm) located within walking distance of the SVR headquarters. The house was filled with valuables and contacts. Antique furniture and numerous valuable paintings filled the house. A desk with three drawers was stuffed with banknotes – one drawer was full of dollar bills (over $400,000), one with euro bills (over €300,000), and one with high-denomination ruble notes (over 10 million ₽)! The reason the FSB paid attention to the house with all its valuables was that Belianinov was the victim of two extensive burglaries in a short period, despite the house being located in an area monitored by the SVR.

    Russian military crisis
Among all the reports of burning oil facilities, we see more and more successful Ukrainian military attacks that obliterate Russian soldiers and Russian hardware into atoms. More and more often, we can see more attacks using Ukrainian fighter jets and various homemade missiles. Russia cannot do without hardware from North Korea, China, and Iran, while also needing soldiers from North Korea, Cuba, and other countries.

Ukraine’s Neptune cruise missiles and Flamingo missiles are being used more and more frequently, but this fall they have also been supplemented by Storm Shadow missiles and HIMARS. The fact that Ukraine now has a larger and more diversified toolbox makes it significantly more difficult for Russia’s military to protect both its own forces and especially the many facilities of the Russian oil industry. The dark gray plumes that are signs of successful Ukrainian attacks are seen by hundreds of thousands of Russians who, of course, are also affected both psychologically and practically by all the long fuel queues and higher gasoline prices. Dare we pretend to quote an American president with “Burn, baby burn!”

During the past week, a drone airbase in Crimea, a missile installation in Donetsk, and a Russian command center were among the targets of attacks. The port of Novorossiysk also suffered, as did a number of air defense installations in the form of S-300 and S-400 systems, and radar installations were also attacked. Additionally, a drone manufacturing plant in Donetsk went up in flames.

At the time of writing, there are 2-3 Ukrainian attacks per day on the Russian oil industry. In addition to this, an unknown number of airborne attacks on military targets inside Russia are taking place, perhaps one attack per day. Unfortunately, I do not have figures on how many dozen attacks are occurring inside Ukraine from the Ukrainian side, but there are enough for me not to be able to keep track of them all.

    Civil crisis for Moscow
Russian factories, including the country’s defense industry, are finding it increasingly difficult to produce the products they had planned. Several important factors are at play here, with the two main ones likely being a lack of labor and inputs, machine tools, and digital components. The Kremlin being forced to import large amounts of labor from Africa and Latin America, among other places, is hardly something that can be hidden from the Russian population, who are increasingly sharing rumors with each other. Despite the import of labor, many manufacturing companies still struggle to get their operations running smoothly.

    Rampant crime
Although the grotesque “shootouts” between criminal gangs in the 1990s (which sometimes included police officers and officials from the FSB) are unlikely to return to the extent they were before, one should not conclude that crime has decreased! Instead, much of the crime has changed its nature, and more and more people want to share in the profits of crime. Corruption is affecting larger parts of Russian society, and it is common to see many officers from the Russian military, MVD, and FSB having to bend over because they have accepted large bundles of banknotes. No sector in Russia is free from the culture of bribery!

    Increased discontent!
No one should harbor any fantasies that this increased discontent will lead to a coup against Putin or in any way overthrow Russia overnight. On the other hand, we have seen before how the Soviet Union, Eastern Europe, Syria, and several other Arab countries suddenly and with little warning lost their old regimes. However, what sets today’s Russia apart from ten years ago is that the police crackdown is very harsh, and long prison sentences are handed out. So, despite many youths dying in Ukraine, no Russian mothers take to the streets with protest signs held high.

“At least three Chinese rare earth metals manufacturers have been granted licenses allowing them to export to certain customers outside the country, reports Reuters citing sources.

China began designing a new licensing system for rare earth metals after the meeting between Donald Trump and Xi Jinping at the end of October that eased trade tensions between the countries.

JL Mag has been licensed to supply to almost all of its customers, while Ningbo Yunsheng and Beijing Zhong have been licensed to export to some of their customers, according to the sources.”

  15. “USA skips NATO meeting for the first time since 1999

US Secretary of State Marco Rubio will not participate when NATO foreign ministers gather in Brussels this week, reports the Wall Street Journal. According to the newspaper, it is the first time since 1999 that an American Secretary of State does not show up at the meeting.

This is a signal that the USA is not as invested in NATO as before. Several countries in Europe are concerned about where the USA is heading, especially after the peace plan for Ukraine that the country recently presented.

The plan stated that the USA would act as a “mediator” between NATO and Russia, a sign that the USA does not see itself as part of the alliance.

The Americans also proposed that Russia should be granted amnesty for war crimes and welcomed back to the G8.

    – This would lead to significant strains in the transatlantic relationship. Politically, Russia is well on its way to winning, says British security analyst Ed Arnold to WSJ.”

  16. “Putin travels to India: Will lobby for oil exports
Russian President Vladimir Putin is starting a two-day visit to India on Thursday. Putin aims to increase the sales of oil, missile systems, and fighter jets in an attempt to revive trade with New Delhi after pressure from the USA, Reuters reports.

Putin is accompanied by his Defense Minister Andrej Belousov and a broad delegation from the business sector. According to sources from the news agency, Indian officials are concerned that new agreements with Russia could trigger a reaction from Donald Trump, who in August doubled tariffs on Indian goods as a punishment for New Delhi’s purchase of Russian crude oil.

I am grateful to Andriy Hnatov for a very informative briefing for our American partners on the actual situation at the front. With the participation of representatives of the intelligence service, the appropriateness of various actions at the front line and the challenges of ensuring protection against Russian attacks and preventing violations of agreements in case of ceasefire were discussed with the American side.

Our diplomats are actively working with all partners to ensure meaningful participation of European countries and other coalition participants who want to be involved in developing solutions. I informed the team about my conversations with European leaders and Steve Witkoff, which took place in Paris. We note that the Russians have already started new disinformation campaigns in view of the preparations for upcoming meetings with the American side.

I have given instructions to continue the constructive work with President Trump’s team and with our European partners. Ukrainian intelligence will provide our partners with all available information on Russia’s real intentions and its attempts to use diplomatic contacts as a cover to weaken sanctions and block important collective decisions in Europe.

Ukraine takes all diplomatic efforts very seriously – we strive to achieve real peace and guaranteed security. It is this level of commitment that must be achieved from the Russian side, and this task can only be accomplished together with our partners. The Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine will maintain constant contact with the United States to establish the schedule for upcoming meetings.

The aggressive state of Russia continues to build a network of international partnerships to help the regime avoid sanctions pressure and secure financing for the Russian invasion of Ukraine.

Another element of this strategy is a series of intergovernmental agreements between Moscow and Hanoi, approved by the Russian government in May of this year.

▪️ The document package includes an expansion of joint oil and gas extraction on Russian territory and the Vietnamese continental shelf with the participation of the companies Zarubezhneft, PetroVietnam, and the joint venture Viesovpetro.

Vietnamese and Russian structures will receive additional licenses for the extraction of new mineral deposits in the Nenets Autonomous District (Russia) and the extension of current licenses until 2050.

At the same time, the agreements allow for the formation of subsidiaries in a third country, opening up the possibility to export Russian oil under the guise of Vietnamese and disguise the true origin of energy resources.

▪️ Particularly noteworthy is the establishment in the Russian-Vietnamese agreement of a minimum price for the sale of oil of at least $75 per barrel, which is significantly higher than the price cap of $47.6 per barrel imposed by EU countries in July 2025.

In parallel, Russia is strengthening its humanitarian and military-technical presence in Vietnam by establishing a “Russian language center” and implementing an agreement to control the use of Soviet and Russian anti-aircraft missiles previously supplied to Vietnam.

❗️Considering the Kremlin’s attempt to establish a “guaranteed” long-term oil price, it is very likely that Russian security services will intensify their operations to disrupt international energy chains – particularly by carrying out sabotage against infrastructure in other countries.

    1. A country can only fall militarily, not politically, right? However, a party in a country (or equivalent: including a dictator) can fall.

Denmark fell militarily and a puppet government was established politically. But the Danish people’s resistance continued. The same in France (Vichy regime).

But what I want to emphasize here is that Ukraine’s resistance is rooted in the people. I’ll see if I can find a good text I recently saw about this. Wasn’t it Timothy Snyder the other week?

Snyder’s interview with Mikael Weiss: This does not mean that Ukraine is a perfect country. No country is. But the fact remains, it is a democracy. A democracy with a vibrant civil society, which, as you have noted, and I have been saying since 2014, I do not invest in governments. I do not even invest particularly in the current Ukrainian government for the reasons just mentioned. But I invest in the Ukrainian people, because they do not allow things to remain as they are, for example in autocracies like Russia, right? So if someone tries to dilute the anti-corruption clauses, it is people standing in the streets in the middle of the war to condemn their own government and say they must reverse this decision. That’s why I believe the Western world must focus its efforts and energy. You know, the Ukrainian people made a very clear choice more than a decade ago. They want to be part of Europe. They want to be part of the Western world. He cannot allow Ukraine to succeed in this way, because it’s like a Pepsi challenge. You know, if Ukraine can do this, then maybe Russia can do it one day too. And that would be the end for Putin. And that would be the end for his regime.

That is, if Zelensky falls (politically), this does not necessarily mean that the military, with the support of the people, according to its explicit will and mission, continues to defend the country. Until a new leadership is established.

  20. Vladimir Putin launches a new verbal attack against Europe, stating that the European countries “constitute an obstacle” for Donald Trump who is trying to achieve peace through dialogue, reports Reuters. He accuses Europe of being interested in war and emphasizes that the counterproposals put forward by, among others, the UK, Germany, and France are unacceptable. – If Europe wants to wage war, we are ready, says the president. The statement comes at the same time as an American delegation is in the Kremlin to discuss the peace proposal that Ukraine and the USA have worked out. In recent times, the European countries have been very careful to emphasize that peace in Ukraine must happen on Ukraine’s terms.

    1. Putin seems a bit jealous of Europe. He makes a lot of unfounded accusations. A bit like a leader from a mafia faction encountering resistance in the territory of another faction and complaining to the big boss who is trying to negotiate peace.

      1. I don’t know if I would say jealous, but I think he notices the increased pressure now that Europe is starting to toughen up. That’s why he’s ramping up the scare rhetoric.

Thanks to Trump, he still has self-confidence, he knows that Europe is quite toothless without the US military might, and will continue to flatter and lie to Trump and his followers to pacify them, and convince them of the superiority of a multipolar world divided between the “great powers,” where Putin still considers himself to belong.

  21. USA’s special envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner have settled in the Kremlin for a meeting with Vladimir Putin, several media outlets report. The men are set to discuss a possible peace agreement in Ukraine.

The meeting on Ukraine has started in Moscow: “Fantastic city”
Before the meeting began behind closed doors, state-run Russian media listened to the opening greetings. According to CNN, the Russian president asked what the Americans thought of Moscow during their walk in the city earlier in the day.

    – It’s a magnificent city, Witkoff replied.

President Volodymyr Zelensky, who is currently in Ireland, says that Ukraine and the USA have jointly developed a peace proposal with 20 points that is now on the table. He plans to speak with the American delegation directly after their meeting in Russia.

    1. Hm, I guess the meeting goes something like this.

The Americans present the 20-point proposal and then nervously chuckle that, yes, Ukraine wanted to remove those points, and they wanted to modify those. Putin looks up, smiles coldly, hands it back to them and says forget it, let’s go back to the old proposal, and I have some new points. “By the way”, we have problems in Pokorovsk and Lyman, ask your President to press Zelensky harder, and he will be richly rewarded.

  22. I was positively surprised at the beginning by Italy’s resolute support for Ukraine, but now there is a risk of wavering.

“The Italian government will postpone the decision on continued support for Ukraine until after the turn of the year, sources told Reuters. The news agency writes that cracks are beginning to show in Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni’s right-wing coalition on the issue of Ukraine. Meloni herself has promised to support Ukraine wholeheartedly, but Matteo Salvini, leader of the Lega party, has questioned the support. Italy has sent twelve military support packages to Ukraine, and the government has had the opportunity to act without parliamentary approval. However, that rule expires at the end of the year, and it may take up to two months before parliament approves an extension.”
