As you have probably noticed, we now have ads on the site. The ads and their placement are managed by Google, which also tries to optimize it automatically. We will let it run for a few weeks to see where it ends up. Some placements feel quite large, but it might get better.
We will then post a survey to hear what you think, if there are too many ads, if there are certain placements that are particularly annoying, etc. so we can make any adjustments after that.

  2. 👍 The slow downward trend since May seems to persist, mainly due to the calming down at the northeastern front (Slobozhansky-Kursk) but also at Pokrovsk.

    1. Thank you for the response! Just a clarification. I don’t think the Pentagon et al. are so worried that the nuclear warheads will end up on display, but rather that they will be allied with China in the third world war (if we end up there). As you wrote in your comment, you do what you can even if it has a low probability of working.

  3. Ukraine liberates 3 villages in Donetsk Oblast, military reports on Independence Day. Ukrainian troops have liberated the villages of Zelenyi Hai, Mykhailivka, and Volodymyrivka, Commander-in-Chief of Ukraine’s Armed Forces Oleksandr Syrskyi reported on Aug. 24.
    https://kyivindependent.com/ukraine-liberates-3-villages-in-donetsk-oblast-military-reports-on-independence-day/

Zelenyi Hai in Volnovakha district is located approximately 90 to 100 kilometers (about 56 to 62 miles) southwest of the Russian-controlled city of Donetsk. The military first reported the regaining kontroll of the village on Aug. 23.

The three liberated villages are all located south of Pokrovsk.

  4. Either they just wanted one more person to talk to to hear his opinions or they tried to interfere in Ukrainian politics and find a replacement for Zelenskyy.

In that case, it may have been because they believe he would be easier to control, or as a way to let Putin have his way (or both).

“❗️🇺🇸🇺🇦 Zaluzhny refused to talk to JD Vance, who was looking for an alternative to Zelensky after the dispute in the White House, — The Guardian. Vance’s team wanted to organize a conversation with Zaluzhnyi just three days after the leaders’ dispute in Washington,…”

  5. Wondering if he is related to a certain other Medvedev? 😂
(There must have been plenty of Russians in the audience if they took his side.)

“Russian Daniil Medvedev completely lost it on the referee during the first round of the US Open, several media outlets report.

In the match against the Frenchman Benjamin Bonzi, which was a surprise in itself, it was Medvedev’s outburst that was in focus. When Bonzi was about to serve on his match point, a photographer stepped onto the court and the referee stopped the game. Bonzi had to redo his first serve – something the audience, and especially Medvedev, did not appreciate.

    – Are you a man? Why are you shaking? What’s the problem? People, he wants to go home, he snapped at the referee before asking him if he wanted to go home.

It took over six minutes of constant booing from the audience, fueled by Medvedev, before the match could continue.

Medvedev managed to turn it around, but Bonzi was not too affected. He eventually defeated the Russian, who is ranked much higher at 13th place.”

Tragic development, to protest against what Israel does is one thing, to harass those who have nothing to do with it is just cowardly and almost racist.

I hope there are those who have the strength to report to the police so maybe it can be stopped.

“More and more Jews are leaving Sweden after the increase in antisemitism since the start of the Gaza war, reports Ekot.

    – I have had enough of Sweden and realized that chapter is probably over, says Yair Elsner in Malmö to the radio.

He tells that he has experienced threats, harassment, and insults. This has led to a decision to move to Israel.

According to the Crime Prevention Council (BRÅ) latest measurement, antisemitism has increased. Nearly 40 percent of those surveyed in the report are considering moving from Sweden.”
    https://omni.se/fler-judar-lamnar-sverige-jag-har-fatt-nog/a/73e7r4

    1. In Malmö, you can’t walk down the street and show that you are Jewish without being spat on – quite unbelievable actually but that’s how it is.

The Jewish community in Malmö is approaching zero, and X number of years ago they were probably several thousand.

As mentioned, the hate speech law is used very selectively and the interpretation seems to be subjective – and I belong to the generation that remembers the Nazis’ hatred towards Jews and how the hate speech law came in handy there.

      1. Considering the demographics of Malmö, there are probably 100 anti-Semitic Arabs for every neo-Nazi. The latter don’t need to do anything, they know that the idiots in the suburbs will do the job for them.

  7. Conflict? Trump has already arranged peace there, there shouldn’t be any problems, right? 😉

“Thailand wants to buy more Gripen planes from Sweden. But if the situation between Thailand and Cambodia escalates, the deal may be paused or canceled, writes TT.

Today, Sweden’s Minister of Defense Pål Jonsson is meeting with the chief of Thailand’s air force. Thailand is in the midst of negotiations with SAAB.

    – If there is a full-scale or a larger war – or if Thailand invades Cambodia and takes over areas – then I am convinced that this deal would be paused, and maybe even canceled, says Martin Lundmark, lecturer at the Swedish Defence University, to the news agency.”
    https://omni.se/thailand-vill-kopa-gripen-eskalerad-konflikt-kan-stoppa/a/73e79o

    1. Is one really so damn stupid to pause a business just as demand is soaring through the roof? It’s one thing if Thailand starts attacking left and right of course, but if there’s a war and Thailand is allied with Sweden, shouldn’t one rather increase the deliveries? And if one doesn’t want to be allied with Thailand, one shouldn’t sell in peacetime either.

      1. I agree with you, if one assesses Thailand as a country one wants to do business with in peacetime, that should be sufficient. I would be nervous to buy anything from a country that refuses to do so once a war breaks out.
What about spare parts, for example? Will they also stop being delivered if a war breaks out?

  8. “Sweden will provide 750 million to Ukraine to cover the financing gap in the country’s state budget, according to Minister for International Development Cooperation Benjamin Dousa (M) for TV4 News.

This is the first time an EU country is providing direct budget support to Ukraine. Ukraine will decide for themselves what they want to do with the money, but Dousa has set certain conditions.

    – We will always ensure that the money does not go to corruption and that Ukraine takes the reforms they are currently pushing for seriously and continues to become even more democratic and closer to the EU, he tells TV4.”

  9. “Finnish President Alexander Stubb does not believe there will be a meeting between Vladimir Putin and Volodymyr Zelensky.

    – I am not optimistic. Right now, I also do not see a meeting between Zelensky, Putin, and Trump as a possibility,” Stubb said during a visit to Åland on Monday, as reported by Yle.

At the same time, he is positive about the strengthened relationship between Trump and Zelensky.

Stubb and Finland have obtained a key position in the peace negotiations. He himself participated in the recent meeting at the White House.

    – It is good for us as a country that we get to sit around the table where decisions are made,” he said.”

  10. “Norway will contribute almost twice as much as Sweden to Ukraine. Both this year and in 2026, Norway will provide 85 billion Norwegian kronor to Ukraine, as reported by Norwegian media.

Earlier today, TV4 News reported that Sweden has provided 48.5 billion kronor in civilian and military aid this year. And since the invasion started in 2022, nearly 100 billion has been allocated to Ukraine.

    – It is a very high amount. This brings the total support to Ukraine to 275 billion kronor, says Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre when he visited Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on Monday.”
    https://omni.se/norge-toppar-sverige-dubblar-bidraget-till-ukraina/a/Ey7bJj

    1. I actually think 85 billion is pitifully little. One single person could have given that. The Norwegian billionaire John Fredriksen is worth 300 billion and will soon fall off the list. He could have easily thrown in 85 billion as an individual.

Overall, I am disappointed in Europe’s billionaires who don’t show a bit of generosity. They could at least invest in Ukrainian weapon production and wait to make a profit until after the war is over. Unfortunately, Europe’s richest man, with about 2000 billion SEK, Bernard who owns LVMH, is probably in bed with the Russians?

  11. A bit of Kenneth Gregg from FB – Interesting: At Sumy, the deepstatemap has finally updated the map, showing that they are currently reporting with a 72-hour delay. Also, at Pokrovsk, the ryzzes are having a hard time, all because their maintenance is not arriving or is significantly delayed. So how did the ryzzes end up in such a situation? The first reason is that the majority of their transportation is done by train, trains can only move on tracks. We know where and when their trains are coming, so we can easily take out the entire train sets without any problem. These are detected long before they even enter the combat zones, and they are completely unprotected against our drone attacks. They are especially vulnerable to our fiber optic drones.
The second major reason is the lack of vehicles to take the maintenance to the front line. Imagine the difficulty they have in getting the necessities after a ryzz advancement. They may have occupied an area, but without maintenance, it becomes impossible to hold it. This is likely what happened in Malynivka. Malynivka has been the hub supplying maintenance to the Novoekonomichna and Rodynske fronts. This means that we have 7 ryzz brigades that will soon be without maintenance.
Last night, we attacked the Syzran oil refinery in the Samara region, which is now on fire. This facility specializes in supplying fuel to the ryzz military.
In Rostov, the oil refinery has been burning for the fourth day, and the situation in the area is becoming critical. Civilians have been without water for several days because everything is allocated to the fire site, the air is becoming toxic to breathe, and people are forced to stay indoors. Additionally, the refinery has not paid salaries for 4 months.
We already know that Ryzzland is facing major problems with gasoline supply, and now diesel is also starting to run out. Even the industry is starting to bleed out:
    1. Automobile industry
Sales are plummeting due to high interest rates. Tens of thousands of cars are sitting in the factories’ warehouses or with car importers (Chinese), cars that should be out at the car dealerships. The Kamaz factory incurred a loss of 3.4 billion rubles in 2024, and 2025 is shaping up to be an even worse year.
    2. Agriculture industry, agricultural machinery
Here too, the financial crisis is causing major problems. Production decreased by 24% in 2024, and now the factories have switched to a 3-day workweek.
    3. Agriculture
For the second year in a row, a 25% drop in the harvest is expected, due to the cold May weather. The harvest could be even smaller because the fuel shortage is not expected to decrease in the coming months, despite massive imports. It should also be mentioned that Ryzzland imports butter from the UAE and potatoes from Mongolia.
    4. Construction industry
Today, new construction is at a standstill, causing the building materials industry to stagnate significantly.
    5. Aviation
Out of 15 planned flights, only 1 has been delivered, mainly because Western components are needed. These are almost impossible to obtain. Ryzzland has about 700 planes in its fleet purchased from the West, and more and more of these are grounded because spare parts are difficult to come by.
    6. Shipbuilding
Is essentially at a standstill due to sanctions. The latest disaster in this industry was Turkey’s withdrawal of 2 ship orders from Onega Shipbuilding, valued at 18.5 billion rubles.
    7. Consumer goods industry
Significant declines in the sales of household appliances and TVs. For example, the KVANT factory has not paid salaries since the end of 2024.
All of these disasters have now led to the introduction of the so-called Soviet silence, meaning that problems are not discussed on TV or in other media. The internet in, for example, St. Petersburg is facing major issues, with authorities attributing it to the risk of drone attacks and shutting down the internet as a security measure. We know that Soviet citizens were used to managing with little, but ryzzan citizens have become accustomed to traveling to the West and having money to spend. How much more can they endure? Although there are severe penalties for people openly complaining, the day will come when everything collapses, and fear turns into rage; the only question is WHEN.
The Vice President of the USA has once again shown his historical ignorance. His statement that World War II ended through negotiations must be a joke; the Allies bombed Germany and Japan into peace. Two atomic bombs were enough for Japan, and Germany’s cities were bombed to rubble until the Allies and the Soviet Union invaded the country. Where was the negotiation?

    1. Interesting and positive! 👍

Gregg usually tends to be both extra positive when things look good and extra negative when things are going poorly, but regardless, it’s an indication in the right direction!

    2. It all depends on how Europe handles this development.

The risk is always that if things go too well, we will slow down Ukraine again, but we must hope that we have learned by now.

This war could have ended as early as 2022 if the entire VDV had been captured west of the Dnieper.

  12. Off-Topic, Nigeria

“The Nigerian military reports that they have killed 35 jihadists at the border with Cameroon, according to Deutsche Welle. Large groups of the religious extremists are said to have gathered there to attack government forces in the area.

“After receiving various intelligence reports from different sources, the air force carried out precision attacks in several rounds, targeting the terrorists and neutralizing more than 35 combatants at four identified assembly points,” the air force said in a statement.

According to the BBC, Nigeria has been fighting jihadist rebel groups and criminal gangs for over ten years. 10,000 people are said to have died in such clashes in the past two years, according to a local expert group.”

  13. Off-Topic, Sweden

“Today, DN revealed that a government official forgot a folder with classified information in a restroom at Arlanda airport ahead of a NATO meeting with Turkey.

It is unclear what will come of this, as the contents of the folder are unknown. But since many are familiar with the events surrounding former national security advisor Henrik Landerholm, it reflects poorly on the government. This is the opinion of Sweden’s Radio’s domestic political commentator Fredrik Furtenbach.

    – There is already an image of carelessness and incompetence in the government offices when it comes to sensitive documents, and this adds to it, he says.

SVT’s commentator Elisabeth Marmorstein says this is the last thing Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson needs.

    – It seems like the government offices need to update their security procedures, she says on SVT’s Morning Studio.”

  14. Zelenskyy:

“I am grateful to His Majesty King Carl XVI Gustaf of Sweden, to Sweden and to the Swedish people for their unwavering solidarity with Ukraine. We highly value Sweden’s substantial military, humanitarian, and financial assistance, all of which helps save Ukrainian lives. This steadfast partnership strengthens both our nations and contributes to the security of the whole of Europe.”

  15. “Defense analysts claim they spotted first public display of what appears to be Ukraine’s secretive long-range Neptune missile — Defense Express. The “Long Neptune” reportedly strikes targets 1000 km (621 miles) away compared to 200-400 km (124-248 miles) of the original missile’s range.”
    https://bsky.app/profile/euromaidanpress.bsky.social/post/3lx7qsa3cyk22

    https://euromaidanpress.com/2025/08/25/defense-express-official-video-allegedly-reveals-first-ever-public-look-at-ukraines-secretive-1000-km-neptune-missile/

      1. Yes, one might wonder. Ukraine recently conducted some tests, I think the range would be 300km, then the Russians recently claimed that they bombed the factories to pieces.. 🤷‍♂️

    1. Please note that the Neptun Long Range will become obsolete when/if production of the Flamingo starts, which has a significantly longer range and can carry a larger payload:

“But another recent announcement may make the Long Neptune slightly redundant.

Ukraine is planning to begin mass production of its domestically developed long-range Flamingo cruise missile this winter, which has a reported range of 3,000 kilometers and carries a 1,150 kilogram warhead — far larger than Long Neptune’s 150 kilogram warhead.”

If the producer manages to put this missile out in significant numbers, and it’s not just the marketing gag.. then to be honest, a modernized Neptune cruise missile, in terms of its importance, decreases significantly

      — Kyiv Independent 25/8 2025

      1. Well, the Flamingo is of course superior.

But if they are different production lines, they will probably benefit from both, and if Neptune is easier to manufacture, it’s just great to have both to achieve good volume. There are quite a few nice targets within 1000km.

It might also be good to put the logistics behind the fronts with them.

  16. Off-Topic, Gaza

“At least 19 people have been killed in an Israeli attack on the Nasser hospital, the largest hospital in southern Gaza, according to Hamas-controlled authorities. Among the victims are four Palestinian journalists, according to AP.

Video journalist Mariam Dagga, who used to freelance for AP, is one of the victims. Another of the deceased, cameraman Hussam al-Masri, worked for Reuters. Also, Al Jazeera’s cameraman Mohammad Salam was killed in the attack. It is still unclear which journalist is the fourth victim.

After a few hours of silence, the Israeli Defense Forces IDF confirmed at lunchtime that they had carried out attacks at the hospital. They promise to investigate the incident.

”IDF regrets any harm to innocent individuals and does not specifically target journalists”, writes IDF, continuing to claim that they are doing everything they can to reduce the number of civilian casualties.

Israel has previously defended its hospital bombings by claiming that militant Hamas members are hiding in the hospitals, without presenting any evidence, writes AP. At least 192 journalists have been killed during the Gaza war, according to the American organization CPJ.”

    1. “Several Israeli military top officials, including IDF’s Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir, appeal to Benjamin Netanyahu and the country’s government to reach an agreement with Hamas on a ceasefire, reports Haaretz.

Carrying out the announced invasion of Gaza City could lead to hostage deaths, say several military top officials, who instead advocate for a negotiated solution – now that they have the upper hand.

      – Netanyahu, it’s time to act according to the will of the people. Do not continue this endless war. Do not sacrifice hostages, our soldiers, and Israeli civilians, says Eyal Zamin during a meeting with the security cabinet.”

Perhaps not the right instance to contact when it comes to disputes or complaints about the purchase of that particular type of service.

But it was nice of him to facilitate the work of the police.

“A man who bought sex from a woman in Malmö complained to the police, as he felt he did not get what he paid for,” TT writes.

The call came to the police early on Monday morning.

“Initially, it is the woman who calls us, after which this man takes the phone from her and gives his version,” says Sara Andersson, police press spokesperson.

The police then went to the apartment and arrested the man. He is now suspected of purchasing sexual services.”
    https://omni.se/sexkopare-klagade-hos-polisen-greps/a/Ey7bpl

    1. However, if he didn’t receive any sex, he can’t be convicted of purchasing sex. Although he might have thought he received the wrong kind or that the quality of the product was too low!?

  18. “Ukraine now has its own weapons to strike deep into Russia without US approval, Zelenskyy says

Kyiv’s long-range missiles mean it can now decide for itself to strike deep into Russia, Zelenskyy said.
That would be a major change from when Kyiv relied on Western approval for strikes over the border.

His comment comes after a new report said the Pentagon had blocked ATACMS strikes against Russia.”

    https://www.businessinsider.com/ukraine-strike-deep-russia-atacms-neptune-flamingo-zelenskyy-us-approval-2025-8

      1. But if it’s not American weapons, then the US doesn’t have much to say (unless they threaten with something else, but they’ve already stopped weapon deliveries).

Europe hasn’t really imposed any restrictions, being bad at delivering larger quantities ultimately leads to the same result.

Where is Taurus and when did they last receive more Storm Shadows?

Could it be that this has been the plan all along?

They are cowardly in their deliveries but have been pushing and helping Ukraine develop its own capabilities all along, so now the US and Europe can wash their hands of Russia and say:

“No, we haven’t given them anything substantial, and we can’t prevent them from striking back, they have every right to do so 🤷‍♂️”.

        1. You can rest assured that the USA will do what they can to prevent Ukraine from getting its jackpot – I think we have seen enough of the USA, Biden, Sullivan, Trump for over +3 years for that statement not to be considered speculative at all but to be a truth 😀

What seems to have happened is that Europe has broken loose – something that someone has been calling for for a while now.

You’re going a bit in circles with Europe never stopping Ukraine so I saved this so I don’t have to look.

          https://www.ukrinform.net/rubric-ato/4017977-cinc-syrskyi-urges-us-eu-to-provide-more-air-defense-and-allow-strikes-deep-into-russia.html

“Europe hasn’t really set any limits, being bad at delivering larger quantities which of course yields the same result”.

Now there is a lot more behind how the weapons were allowed to be used, the British had personnel in Ukraine who were involved in monitoring the target acquisitions.

Then the USA stopped the Storm Shadow because the map service in the missile was made in the USA.

And finally, the threat not to deliver material is just as you say a tool to achieve the desired result – that Ukraine does not get to combat targets in Russia that hurt.

Wasn’t Novorossiysk’s oil depot the first one?

There Zelensky explained to us that he got a lot of crap after that.

            1. Yes, I agree, speculated of course vigorously, but considering that Ukraine has not been given the ability to strike deeply (or if they have been prohibited), except for a bunch of Storm Shadows that ran out quite quickly, I do not see it as impossible that it has been so cynical.

We have been slow and late with everything.

It wasn’t until February 2023 that they dared to make the decision to send tanks, a year later they still hadn’t all reached Ukraine as promised.

          1. Different countries have had slightly different attitudes, the Nordic countries, for example, have not had any restrictions, but at the beginning of the war, it is true that Ukraine was only allowed to use weapons for self-defense. Then things loosened up.

            What you are referring to:

            The summary lumps everything together;
“Ukraine urgently needs the United States and Europe to supply more air defense systems and missiles, as well as to reconsider the ban on Ukrainian strikes against military targets deep inside Russia.”

It can be understood as both parties prohibiting deep strikes, but as mentioned, it could just be a lumping together. If you remember the ammunition depots that were hit, it was widely agreed that they must have been Storm Shadows, right?

“More medium- and long-range missiles, including American ATACMS and German Taurus systems, would allow Kyiv, provided restrictions on their use were lifted, to slow down Russian weapons production by targeting infrastructure that manufactures missiles and drones, the newspaper writes.”

They have never even received Taurus, so when it comes to them, there has never been any restriction, right?

Here, however, it is clear that the USA has stopped deep strikes with ATACMS.

“Commenting on the delay in the U.S. decision to allow Ukraine to carry out cross-border strikes using ATACMS, which helped shift the situation in Kharkiv, Syrskyi said: “We all made a lot of efforts, including public speaking, to explain and prove the need to use these types of long-range weapons on the territory of the Russian Federation.”

Here is another source from a year ago:

“Cameron said Ukraine had a right to use the weapons provided by London to strike targets inside Russia, and that it was up to Kyiv whether to do so.”

            https://www.reuters.com/world/uk/britains-cameron-kyiv-promises-ukraine-aid-as-long-it-takes-2024-05-02/

Last September, the EU Parliament passed a resolution that member states should not have any restrictions:

“European Parliament urges EU countries to lift restrictions on Ukraine hitting targets deep inside Russia European Parliament lawmakers called on all capitals to allow Ukraine to use long-range weapons against targets on Russian territory, according to a resolution adopted on Thursday.
The resolution passed by a vote of 425 to 131 with 63 abstentions”

            https://uacrisis.org/en/939

I believe that if anyone has said stop since then, it is probably the USA, while Europe probably has not delivered much. There were not many Storm Shadows, they have not received Taurus. I don’t know if we have provided anything else with a range of more than 50-100kms?

              1. But honestly, they just stopped us from letting Ukraine have them and target goals with them all over Russia. Maybe we should have just flown them down to Poland and let some suitable Ukrainians test-fly some fully equipped Swedish planes instead?

  19. 1/

    Something That Fearing Putin:

After the Soviet war in Afghanistan, something happened that the Kremlin would rather not be reminded of.
    – Tens of thousands of young men came home as shadows of themselves.

They were called “Afghantsy” and carried with them amputations, shrapnel in their spines and, above all, a rage that never went away.

They had seen death too close, they had learned to kill as a daily job, and when they were released back into society there were no jobs, no money, no help. They became alcoholics, murderers, robbers and thugs.

The entire post-Soviet mafia in the 90s was filled with war veterans from Afghanistan.

They were men who knew everything about weapons, everything about explosives, everything about obeying orders without blinking.

    2/2

They built gangs, they became bodyguards for oligarchs, they resorted to violence in every conflict.

The Soviet Union and then Russia suffered a permanent internal infection, a generation of broken soldiers who undermined every attempt at stability.

The state tried to keep it quiet, just like now, but it couldn’t be hidden.

Children watched their fathers drink themselves to death, women became punching bags for men who never came home from the war, and crime exploded.

Now the proportions are even worse. Afghanistan was a ten-year disaster that cost the lives of about 15,000 Soviet soldiers. In Ukraine, we are already far, far above that figure and the number of injured is astronomically higher.

Don’t imagine tens of thousands of broken returnees, but hundreds of thousands.

An entire generation returning with prosthetics, with post-traumatic stress, with brain damage, with bitterness. You can’t hide it away in the countryside of Tambov or in a disused barracks in Buryatia.

Afghantsy were a shadow over the last years of the Soviet Union. The veterans of the Ukrainian war could become a shadow that crushes the whole of russian society from within. The Kremlin knows this, which is why they try to censor, sweep away and lie.

But anyone who remembers the bloody streets of the 1990s knows that this is just the beginning. There is no stopping it when soldiers who have learned to shoot women and children suddenly gain access to a society already built on corruption, violence and desperation.

“Putins fear of homecomming soldiers keep him go in the genocide war”

💬 ”Putin got ahead of this problem by allocating large salaries to military. But now that money is running out.”

      1. Yes, it’s the money otherwise Putin won’t stop.

But it only affects new recruitment!? Putin absolutely does not want a cubic Afghanistan back. That would be an even worse economic disaster. The question is whether it won’t be meat issues into the tile?

    1. Yes, that will be an enormous burden on society and is of course a major dilemma for Putin.

The prisoners who survived the first round, where they were released if they went to Ukraine, were allowed to return, but some of them committed murder after returning home. After that, I think they realized the problems.

Therefore, I suspect that not as many will return from Ukraine as they should. Partly, there have been reports about those who are forced to stay even though their period is over, and partly I suspect that those who can still move forward are sent into the next meat grinder.

All to keep down the number of veterans and injured who are returning home.

  20. What we need now – 10-15 burning refineries by September and more strikes against the oil infrastructure and storage capacity (oil depots).

Combat all export ports – it is a dock and technical equipment for pumping LNG, oil, or refinery on board the ships. There are not excessively many lines for that.

Continue to drone down the railway network, ammunition trains, and fuel trains are easy targets.

Sink some ships in the harbor entrances?

Blow up nodes for oil/LNG/refinery entering/leaving Russia.

Start fighting critical infrastructure for the oil fields.

Continue to strike the nuclear triad, if Ukraine can show that they can reach the missile silos inside Russia, it might start to sweat here and there.

Keep rolling relentlessly until the back is broken – Ukraine has the ability and the only reason for calm periods is because they have been stopped by us.

Trump will soon scream and accuse Ukraine of the war, and Putin will threaten with nuclear weapons – call someone who cares.

    1. 👍 I suspect that this is exactly Zelenskyy’s strategy right now. Then maybe they don’t have exactly as high production of drones and ballistic missiles as they say, but they will probably do as much damage inside Russia as they can in the future and ignore if anyone complains.

Those who might complain are those who are not on Ukraine’s side anyway.

      1. That’s how it looks.

For a while, I thought it was a strategy from Trump to put pressure on Putin.

But you don’t hear a sound, do you…

Then it’s the real deal, we’ve known that for a long time.

    2. Ahhaaa…there it dawned on me! It’s not the bridge but the missile silos that Mertz is afraid Ukraine will bomb, and that’s why no Taurus (KEPD 350)!!!! Thank you..I was blind there!

      1. Then you absolutely do not want to be the one who backs down and feels ashamed for prohibiting Ukraine from striking deep against the targets they want (after all, the EU has agreed not to have such restrictions) and then it becomes easiest to not send any Taurus at all with the pretext that Ukraine is not capable of using them.

So tired of all the indecision.

Lucky that Ukraine is able to build up its own capability.

    3. Will Germany be responsible for the air defense then? Because Trump is likely to stop sending robots to the Patriot.

But maybe Ukraine can find a way to knock out all the launch ramps and remnants of the bomber. Then they are home.

  21. Russian agent preparing missile strike on territorial recruitment center detained in Chernihiv. The military counterintelligence service of the Security Service of Ukraine detained an FSB agent in Chernihiv who was preparing a strike on the local territorial recruitment center.

39-year-old resident who drew the attention of the Russians through Telegram channels offering easy money.

Sent to the Kyiv region to identify and transmit geolocation of airfields with combat helicopters. Received a route sheet from the FSB with approximate addresses of possible military bases, did not contain any actual coordinates of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

Failed to find any defense facilities at the coordinates, returned to Chernihiv to coordinate air strikes on local territorial recruitment centers.

  22. “President Trump: European countries will provide Ukraine with significant security guarantees, and the United States will help

According to him, Europe should provide these guarantees because it is close to Ukraine. At the same time, Trump said during his press conference that the United States would help support Ukraine, particularly in reaching agreements.

President Trump noted that the United States no longer provides financial assistance to Ukraine. He emphasized that it is now European countries that are providing the bulk of the funding.”

That last part, that’s how it’s been all along..

  23. That little bulge east of Kupiansk is something they should be careful with.

There is a retreat route now over a bombed-out bridge south of the city + maybe pontoon bridges and floating vessels but if RU makes a push in the area, they will try to combat all ways of retreating over Oskil.

The other option is a counterattack northwest of Kupiansk and down towards Kupiansk to clean up before a retreat.

In any case, coordination is needed and everyone needs to be on board with what’s going on.

  24. It would be interesting to know how Lithuania arrived at the figure of 30,000.

There are units everywhere that could participate in the exercise with a week’s notice.

Have they read the memo from Putin to the staffs?

  25. Did you see that Putin is going to China the first week of September?

I am more and more convinced that they have cooked up something, but when Europe stood up, they got a new game plan to deal with.

They are in the process of giving Venezuela a high Geran capability as we speak – the USA got upset and sent their fleet there, so Maduro totally overreacted and mobilized 4.5 million militias 🤣🤣

Israel’s plan didn’t go as expected either – it ended with Hezbollah, Hamas, and Iran’s nuclear program being threatened with extinction.

    1. China may be wondering about the promised oil deliveries? It’s quite likely that China will become a bit more engaged in the war now. That’s how it feels at least. So it will probably be gold bars heading east and unfortunately new Chinese weapons heading west.
