Ukraine has attacked an oil refinery, an airbase, and several other targets during the night – Russian losses

During the night, Ukraine attacked one of Russia’s largest oil refineries, the Kirishi Petroleum Organic Synthesis plant (Kinef), which caught fire. The attack and fire have been confirmed by the governor of the Leningrad region, who also said that 62 drones were shot down. The refinery is said to have a capacity of 20 million tons per year.

Ukraine also attacked an airbase in Yeisk in Russia’s Krasnodar Krai, where eyewitnesses reported several powerful explosions.

Ukrainian drones were also reported in the Smolensk region according to eyewitnesses, and from the Bryansk region there are reports of explosions, but there is currently no further information on what has been hit and how extensive the damage is.

In the city of Donetsk and the village of Hvardiiske near Simferopol, Ukraine is said to have attacked Russian facilities used to store, prepare, and launch attack drones.

“Operational information as of 08:00 on August 30, 2026, regarding the Russian invasion

Glory to Ukraine!

The 1649th day of the Russian Federation’s full-scale armed aggression against Ukraine has begun.

During the past day, a total of 221 combat engagements were recorded.

Yesterday, the enemy carried out four missile attacks with a total of five missiles as well as 79 air strikes, during which 292 guided aerial bombs were dropped. Additionally, the attackers used 11,357 kamikaze drones and conducted 3,138 shellings against communities and our troops’ positions, of which 60 were with rocket artillery.

Enemy artillery shelling affected, among others, the communities of Neskuchne, Korenok, Potapivka, Mala Korchakivka, Volfyne, Atynske, Sopych, Bachivsk, and Tovstodubove in the Sumy region, as well as Liskivshchyna in the Chernihiv region.

During the past day, the defense forces’ aviation, missile units, and artillery struck 14 areas of enemy personnel concentration, seven artillery systems, six command posts for unmanned aerial vehicles, and three other important enemy targets.

In the northern Slobozhansky and Kursk sectors, five combat engagements were recorded during the past day. At the same time, the attacker conducted 167 shellings against our troops’ positions and communities. The enemy also carried out two air strikes with a total of five guided aerial bombs.

In the southern Slobozhansky sector, Ukrainian units repelled 10 enemy attacks. The attackers tried to advance towards the communities of Lyman, Hrafske, Chuhunivka, Ozerne, and Khatnie as well as in the area around Starytsia.

In the Kupiansk sector, the enemy conducted two offensive operations towards the communities of Radkivka and Podoly.

Attempts to break into our defense were repelled in the Lyman sector, where the occupiers carried out nine attacks in the areas around Novoselivka and Cherneshchyna as well as near Lyman and Dibrova.

In the Sloviansk sector, the enemy made eight assault attempts in the areas around Kryva Luka, Riznykivka, and Zakitne as well as towards Orikhuvatka.

In the Kramatorsk sector, the Russian attackers conducted no assault operations.

In the Kostiantynivka sector, 31 attacks were recorded. The attackers conducted assault operations in the areas around Kostiantynivka, Illinivka, Novoselivka, Rusyn Yar, Toretske, and Sofiivka as well as towards Mykolaipillia and Kucheriv Yar.

In the Pokrovsk sector, the enemy carried out 30 attacks. The occupiers tried to advance towards the communities of Bilytske, Shevchenko, Novohrishyne, Vasylivka, Serhiivka, Novopidhorodne, and Novyi Donbas as well as in the areas around Udachne, Horikhove, and Novomykolaivka.

In the Oleksandrivka sector, the enemy conducted four attacks towards Berezove.

In the Huljajpole sector, the occupiers attacked our defenders’ positions 10 times. The enemy tried to advance towards the communities of Vozdvyzhivka, Huliaipilske, Charivne, Novoselivka, Kalynivske, Nove Zaporizhzhia, and Maliivka.

In the Orikhiv sector, our defenders stopped three enemy attempts to advance in the areas around Pavlivka and Mala Tokmachka.

In the Prydniprovsk sector, the enemy conducted no assault operations during the past day.

In the Volyn and Polissya sectors, no signs have been detected that the enemy is forming offensive force groupings.

In total, the Russian attackers’ losses during the past day amounted to 1,400 personnel. Additionally, one tank, seven armored fighting vehicles, 59 artillery systems, two rocket artillery systems, one air defense system, six ground-based missile systems, 1,963 unmanned aerial vehicles, 394 vehicles, and six units of special equipment were neutralized.”
