I’ll ask if I can get hold of him again, it would actually be a not entirely disproportionate revenge for being denied a drink for so long but he and Budanov are on pretty good terms after I went out into the cold 😐
One should not hide the fact that Budanov needs Dengamle because he is the one responsible for all the pre-battle hype with the marine corps, and when he has gone through his entire repertoire, they fight like gods. A talent he has developed over hundreds of years of various conflicts, big and small, and knows exactly what is needed to get everyone on board.

Luckily Den Gamle survived the Caroleans’ death march. For once, homemade liquor has contributed to something good in this world.
It will be exciting to see if Ukraine can exploit the storm in any decisive way.
I’m a bit doubtful that Budanov’s wife perceives being poisoned as a positive thing, but otherwise I agree that there were many positive news in today’s essay.
👍👍👍

Can it be interpreted that way?
Budanov reads the thread through Dengamle, and since I am still completely frozen after managing to out that plan, it would be absolutely devastating if Dengamle were to decide to translate this to my disadvantage 😐

Both Ukraine and Russia have discovered that the hard way.
The fact was that I was thinking along those lines during my military service and the year after but got zero support for it – sitting in the blast shield was what mattered at that time. I got a huge scolding from a lieutenant during an exercise for suggesting that fighting should be done as simple infantry.
I’ve felt for a year now that I’ve been vindicated for being 20 years ahead of my time, now I understand how Einstein felt.

You talk about the poisoning and follow up with “The good news never ends”.
But of course, it was only me who interpreted it wrong.
DENGAMLE Johan No.1 obviously just meant that it was lucky Budanov survived!!
13:08 – Johan No.1
I can say with great certainty that Dengamle will interpret it as you first wrote 😭

Such a simple question but I was a bit lucky that I bookmarked a tweet by David D 😀
A little addition – the Russian police said they needed to recruit 400,000 police officers for the occupied areas so various units like the FSB and Rosgvardia should be numerous to maintain order.
There was not much border protection at the northern front and no one really tried to stop the Wagner march so it’s not unreasonable that many are in Ukraine.
David D will stand for the numbers.

A bit sloppily written – a very difficult question to answer to find earlier discussions in the thread but apparently I had saved one of the summaries which was lucky.

Dengamle reports that he has never been so cold since he celebrated New Year’s in Ås 1719, but back then he at least managed to find a bottle of homemade liquor which, like a divine gift, made him oversleep, miss the whole march, and ski home over the mountains in bright sunshine a few days later. Apparently, there is now a booze-free zone around him by strict order of Budanov since the crossing of the Dnepr is so important that a whole MP platoon has been assigned to prevent him from getting hold of anything drinkable.
He also sent a video called “ice sculpture wrapped in a blanket just like in the forests near Tolvajärvi 🙌🧐” but the video couldn’t be opened to my great disappointment. I’m waiting eagerly for further communication; my reply didn’t get through so maybe he ran out of battery.
However, here is a picture of Dengamle at the Dnepr that I got indirectly – a still life of withdrawal.

The snow leopards seem to be doing exactly as hoped, they are using the weather to their advantage and are transferring a lot of material across the Dnepr according to Accentmannen. They probably also learned in basic training that the weather is your friend, just like when you stood sobbing on skis in minus 37 degrees in Älvdalen.
I was actually wrong yesterday about the Home Guard freezing, they seem to have gotten snow suits.

Ukraine is likely well prepared for this winter. Almost makes you suspect they have good contacts with the best meteorologists because last winter there was significantly less snow and much less winter gear than this year. The tracked vehicles came, as if by coincidence, already in late summer.
There have been so many peace seekers and “Ukraine can’t win” comments now that I’m starting to wonder if the heavy artillery will eventually arrive.
Then it will be really upside down for those who are properly calibrated – to get peace in our time Zelensky must be persuaded to peace, the children in Ukraine suffer enormously because of their unwillingness for peace and not least Russia is a victim that just wants well for everyone. Macron is a good candidate to come out and propose negotiations.
We’re not quite there yet but if there is a breakthrough at the Dnepr, the last pro-Russians in the West will probably be forced to out themselves.
The spring offensive was enormously successful and the Russians’ autumn offensive is so far a catastrophe of biblical proportions.
Avdiivka is by far their worst offensive, Bakhmut lasted six months and probably had fewer losses than what RU has taken in Avdiivka up to today.
In comparison, 30,000 Russians died at Tannenberg and that is in the history books.
It’s sad that the spring offensive wasn’t decisive but unlike those who have declared it a failure, one must admit that Ukraine is fighting very smartly. A 1:5 loss ratio is smart fighting no matter how you look at it.
By the way, it is currently impossible for a Russian in a trench to stay dry, plus degrees during the day with snow or rain and then below zero at night – this should cause Russians to freeze to death, we’ll see.
Possibly the first frostbitten Russians but it could be something else too, seems to be grass around so maybe not from the last week?

This tweeter rumors that the units attacking at Krunky would be located further south at the Dnepr.
That’s good – no strategic reserves here.

It also looks very good at the bridgehead, expanding.

Some tweeter has tried to tally RU losses and come to the same conclusion as (some) of us in the thread – heavy losses.
https://twitter.com/reneduba/status/1729225082214756714?s=46&t=YTZiCHWWfj2GL0iLjUxpfA
The newspaper Bild naturally lied that Biden would force Ukraine into a bad peace, now officially denied by the US.
https://twitter.com/anno1540/status/1729159619820318906?s=46&t=n2XU_vqM9G81WDIoEWHHBQ
And just to make it clear enough, Ukraine has also officially strongly denied that there will be any negotiated peace.
https://twitter.com/flash_news_ua/status/1729090981306278137?s=46&t=n2XU_vqM9G81WDIoEWHHBQ
So I think that settles it because without the US and Ukraine there probably won’t be any negotiated peace, right? And all the other things that some really want to believe are unconfirmed rumors from third-hand sources and this is officially confirmed by the US and Ukraine themselves.
There is more good news, the liberation deeds are running rampant right now and the country Russia is completely unable to stop them.
A major power station in St Petersburg is in trouble

This one might have been up before but Yakut rebels (beautiful word rebels…) are burning down a huge supply depot.

Sanctions are really starting to bite as PerraG55 informed us this morning,
https://twitter.com/officejjsmart/status/1728824375158439984?s=46&t=n2XU_vqM9G81WDIoEWHHBQ
Then Storm Z is apparently worn out and sluggish and the next move by the Russian dictatorship is to set up “immigrant battalions,” they are vacuuming the shining Russian empire for non-ethnic Russians and forcibly recruiting them into the next fierce unit that will be sacrificed for nothing.
Feels like a good breeding ground for revolution, very good 👍

A reflection on the MAGA movement is that they don’t need T…p or Congress, it’s enough that they can vote down in the Senate and unfortunately they probably got some radicals in there in the midterms?
The only thing needed is to vote down the packages to Ukraine one by one and then they have served their purpose and their Judas rubles.
90th GTD has apparently been spotted in Avdiivka, some brigade.
It is located in northern Luhansk and maybe it’s the next wave to go and die in the potato fields?

Budanov’s wife has been poisoned, that probably means the gloves are really off and we may see some dead siloviki going forward whose names we have come to recognize from PerraG55’s excellent posts.

The good news never ends here, it will be fun to see how much the air force and helicopters took from the storm and what Ukraine will come up with at the Dnepr when the Russians are sitting blinking in the snowstorm.
Will get back as soon as Dengamle leaves any update 👍
