What exactly is the (controversial) peace plan –

The big deal is that Zelensky has a list of target strikes in Russia with him to the meeting, over 100 targets (I think) – bases, airfields, ammunition depots, staging areas, fuel depots, the arms industry, and other things for Putin’s war in Ukraine. A clearly defined list of legitimate military targets that according to international law, the principle of proportionality, and the world order we have had since 1945, he would not need to ask anyone for permission to strike. To be a bit picky, in 2024 he is allowed to strike these targets with his own drones but not with any missiles from the West.

Zelensky has also asked Biden for permission to either strike the targets with missiles from EU countries, but preferably also US missiles against these targets.
Russia strikes targets all over Ukraine partly with its own missiles which previously were said to have 70% components from the US (maybe fewer today) but also missiles from Iran and North Korea. Exports from the EU have increased 5000% from certain EU countries to -stan which then sends them to Russia so all the components they need to manufacture their missiles they get from the West.
-On the subject of striking targets in Russia, this is the only issue Biden has to decide on allowing missiles from the West. Targets in Russia are already being struck by Ukraine deep inside.

Zelensky has also asked for permission to continue the Kursk offensive – this is important because we know Zelensky did not inform the US about this before August 6 and now he is formally asking for US approval. I believe all countries in the EU, and also the US reasonably, have accepted that Western vehicles are used. You see just like me how a very long border with Russia up north is unguarded and how Ukraine has a numerical advantage near Kharkiv and CAN go on further offensive if they want and are allowed. But it is somewhat inactive.

And then military support – ammunition and weapon platforms as well as financial support. Zelensky has previously stated that there is a lack of equipment for 14 brigades because the West is slow to deliver what they promised. This at a time when Iran, North Korea, and China arm Russia and the West assists Russia with components for their arms industry because the sanctions are not controlled for compliance. Then the EU also contributes a lot to Russia’s war chest by still buying oil and LNG – we went through that the other day.

If Zelensky gets approval from Biden on all points, he has promised that Ukraine will win the war – not unreasonable considering that Putin cannot manage to throw Ukraine out of Kursk and is on a downward slope with less and less equipment in worse and worse condition.
-T72 which became T62 which became T54-55…
-BTR-80 which became BT-50, and there were about 20 BTR-90s or something?
-Rocket artillery with calibers that are obsolete and were manufactured just after 1945.

Zelensky has been very clear that if the US does not accept the peace plan, they do not want the war to end as soon as possible, Zelensky’s own words and source.
https://x.com/maks_nafo_fella/status/1837901157508809143?s=46&t=Vah3JXV31B9lXwZOK5gF7w

The only thing I really hold against Zelensky is that this is not a peace plan at all, it is a violent plan to bring much death over Russia 💥💥🤩

The first point is actually the most remarkable – the EU has already voted for a proposal that the countries now must individually approve that Ukraine shall be allowed to use missiles from the EU (Storm Shadow and Scalp from the UK, France, and Italy) to strike targets in Russia without restrictions.
As EU citizens, we should reasonably support this, I think, and not be on the side that does not want it?

The UK, France, the Netherlands (?), Finland, Denmark, and Sweden have said that all their weapons have NO restrictions and may be used to strike targets in Russia.
As citizens of those countries, we should support that, right?

The UK has later changed its mind, it should be added, and that is why Keir Starmer is now branded a coward.

The US has indisputably stated in several statements that they are considering allowing the EU to allow Ukraine to strike targets in Russia with their missiles – which means they do not allow it today, right?
The US is thus taking decision-making authority over the entire EU, and above all, they are going against several EU countries and the EU on this issue.

The US is also going against international law, the principle of proportionality, the world order we have had since 1945, the EU’s best interests (our best), and not least what is best for Ukraine.

Are we back to the Law of the Strong – because it almost looks that way to me?

The one responsible in the US is Joe Biden, no one else.
He has an administration and we can only judge them by their statements and preferably what they do in action.
The sources for all the above have been posted in the thread over the past month so nothing is speculative – everything is fact.

Now to the meeting,
All world leaders have wanted to be seen with Zelensky and all have gone hard at the UN – in words the West is completely united and now it was supposed to be in action too.
Zelensky has received medals and honors and a bipartisan group from D and R has met Zelensky.

Representatives from both D and R have gone out (hard) against Biden and asked him to approve Zelensky’s very reasonable proposal.

Zelensky took the chance to present his peace plan while he is in the US for the UN meeting and the modus operandi is that you go through it beforehand, agree, and then hold the meeting and a joint press conference where everything is announced, hands are shaken, and smiles exchanged.
The peace plan had largely leaked weeks before as well.

A very big win for Biden – because Biden and Harris have already in WORDS fully supported Zelensky here, so American voters reasonably believe that the Democrats stand behind Ukraine 100%.

And Trump calls Zelensky a thieving magpie – which was very clever to get him so upset and make a fool of himself.

But we have not yet received approval of the peace plan from the US.
We also have not received details of the support package other than that it was M1117 which is a better version of M113 and a bit more but no hard numbers.

Zelensky is apparently going to extend his stay in the US by a day, I think. It IS unusual for heads of state to change their agenda and last-minute meetings with presidents or presidential candidates are VERY UNUSUAL. These things are booked months in advance (possible that Dengamle is wrong here).

And Donald Trump has gone from calling Zelensky a thieving magpie to wanting to meet him, and then posts a picture of a message from Zelensky that Zelensky is needy and wants to meet him. Me, me, me…
https://x.com/maks_nafo_fella/status/1839408767034872251?s=46&t=Vah3JXV31B9lXwZOK5gF7w

During the day we will know what Donald Trump has cooked up – in the worst case, he will have the world’s biggest Colgate smile and promise Zelensky that HE approves the peace plan and will provide Abrams and Bradley, and then it will make the rounds in all the world’s media and Russia will amplify everything.

But unfortunately, it doesn’t end there – The Economist has a hit contract on Zelensky in an article. They are probably not Putinists, so WHO ordered this (unless I have fallen for psyops) 🧐
https://x.com/tetyanaukrainka/status/1839391657088692570?s=46&t=Vah3JXV31B9lXwZOK5gF7w

Do you know what happens if Trump gets a free hand during the day – all the goodwill Zelensky has created for Harris and Biden will be gone because Trump will come out as the biggest Ukraine supporter of all – we will see but I am worried.

Now let’s do a little much-needed calibration before we throw ourselves further into Biden’s rather incomprehensible mindset –
-The only ones supporting Biden’s decision regarding Ukraine now are Scholz, Hungary, Putin, and maybe China.
-Almost everyone else has a differing opinion, we know that now.
-Heavy representatives from the Republican and Democratic parties have come out in recent days demanding that Biden meet Zelensky halfway.
-The CIA chief says Biden should stop being terrified of the nuclear threat
https://www.theguardian.com/world/article/2024/sep/07/cia-west-russia-nuclear-threats-putin

So what is Biden up to – I don’t know because there are no rational reasons left and no one supports his line either. It starts to feel a bit like with Scholz when he says there will be no Taurus missiles because he doesn’t want to, star stop.

Is it to avoid violent acts from Putin in the West and the nuclear threat that he refrains from making decisions?
Because Putin also went out and threatened sabotage a month ago, that was before the nuclear threat. And yesterday came this to reinforce that Russia will kill a lot if Biden does something good for Ukraine.
https://x.com/colbybadhwar/status/1839429191109865686?s=46&t=Vah3JXV31B9lXwZOK5gF7w

Will Biden refrain from Alaska if Putin asks for it and threatens with nuclear weapons and subversive activities because that is the extension of this position?

Volodymyr Zelensky is no rookie as it has turned out and he has done the best he could ahead of this meeting. My respect for Volodymyr Zelensky has reached levels where there are fan posters in the boy’s room and I am writing a tribute song on my recorder.

Zelensky agreeing to meet Trump means to me that he did not get what he wanted from Biden because Trump has been very disparaging towards Zelensky, not least by posting the message above.

Which this statement unfortunately indicates – continued consultations is code for “we couldn’t agree”.
https://x.com/andriyyermak/status/1839527637414195599?s=46&t=Vah3JXV31B9lXwZOK5gF7w

Poland has already confirmed that if Russia tries to fight the nuclear power plants then they will join the war in some way – if Russia were to shoot back into Poland, would it be Article 5 then?

Now you might think it sounds incredible that Zelensky would go home and order Budanov and Sirsky to fight all targets in Russia with all the Western weapons they have left.
But then you have already forgotten Kursk 😀

And that the whole EU except Scholz thinks it would be a very good idea, just that someone else needs to make the decision.
What does Zelensky have to lose anymore after this?
Ukraine is up against the ropes and can no longer be a pawn in the USA’s bigger game of something we actually still don’t understand what it is – it’s that unclear 😲

The best explanations I hear are that not everything is Biden’s fault 🤣

I am running ahead a bit but I think the following will be the result if Biden does not approve Zelensky’s peace plan and demands.
But first – if he had done that and gotten Trump to continue calling Zelensky a thieving magpie I think it would have been positive for Kamala Harris in the election.
-there will be a huge betrayal debate in the USA starting now that will be capitalized on enormously by Trump and Putin.
-Zelensky will go home and press a big red button that says fight targets in Russia with everything on.
-The EU will stand behind Zelensky.
-The USA will look like toothless idiots.
-advantage Trump

Another earlier Churchill before our little dancing comedian-Churchill who is well on his way to becoming Putin’s bane has said the following about the USA.

It was Dengamle who reminded me via Whatsapp from New York and also wrote that Biden can’t handle alcohol. He got a huge scolding from Biden’s wife and apparently there is footage on some news channel so this is starting to get politically very sensitive for Zelensky who is not very happy that Budanov involved him in this.
Anyway, Churchill Sr. said –

“The USA always does the right thing, but only after trying all the wrong ways.”
Apparently, we are not there yet 😐

The thread’s own participant with Scottish or Finnish background – Jari, often posts how Finland very soberly views Russia and just yesterday he was at it again, from Edinburgh or Vaasa – who knows 🧐
If you want to have a policy towards Russia you should do as Finland does we have often said during this war because if there is any country that has based its entire foreign policy on balancing Russia it is probably Finland, since 1945.
It IS so incredibly simple – if you show strength Putin backs off.
If you respond with low-affect behavior he takes it as a sign that he can continue and increase the effort.
And he never stops.
Here we have a testosterone-fueled teenager after two beers so this statement is not really revolutionary at all – every parent understands this.
But it seems difficult for the West to reach this point.

If you remember I usually write that I think the dark secret in the West is that it is easier to let Putin be because otherwise you have political chaos, chaos in the streets, chaos in private life and chaos in marriage.
During the war we have seen Macron go out hard against Putin and after street fighting and political chaos go completely silent. Now he is apparently in MENA.
We have seen Keir Starmer go out maybe not as hard but he immediately faced demonstrations and a huge smear campaign – the last we heard was that he got clothes from a billionaire but we don’t know if that was Putin or internal strife.
Biden must now before the election decide if it is worth 300 dead marines on the newspaper front pages to let Zelensky win the war.
https://x.com/colbybadhwar/status/1839429191109865686?s=46&t=Vah3JXV31B9lXwZOK5gF7w
This thing about escalation management and fear of nuclear weapons is surely there.

But I believe that the reckless fear of being annihilated as a person, political party, and country by Putin is what makes the West passive.
-You know there are political parties on both sides that if given orders will try to tear you down.
-You know that Islamists, left-wing extremists, and right-wing extremists will take to the streets.
-That there will be a huge smear campaign.
-That things you shouldn’t have done will come out.
-That politicians X, Y, Z are bought and will get orders to crush you.

Putin can personally influence our decision-makers.

Then I believe that since we have the criminal clans and gangs throughout the EU, we have a completely new infrastructure to influence people, and I am not mistaken.

Putin has the ability to keep the West passive even as we move towards WW3, which is worrying.
And we have seen this passivity manifest itself throughout an entire war, but country after country has burned its bridges with Putin.
And the only right thing is for the West as a collective to burn its bridges with Putin and take the hit to fight the little man with a mustache of our time.

If this had been handled neatly by Biden, this war would have ended soon, in my assessment, but Biden did not do what he should have with the motivations he now has, and Putin can hold out a while longer.

Do you know what risk Biden is taking here – That Ukraine collapses, becomes a Russian colony, and that the EU gets a new cold war.

Does that sound like someone unwilling to take a risk when this is a possible consequence?

No, just that this particular outcome does not affect the USA at all – the USA will have its national integrity intact and will be the main partner to the EU for selling oil and weapons, if we were to get there.

Not a word about the Biden supporters – I have taken the criticism to heart and will not mention them again with a word, thanks for all the good advice so I can improve 👍

Do you know what Dengamle said on WhatsApp just now – he has tried to get Biden over in the USA to at least come up with a counter-demand – “if you continue to FAB bomb Ukraine THEN within three weeks we will give Ukraine full permission to bomb targets in Russia with our weapons.”

Dengamle had gotten the idea that this is how “escalation management” worked, old is not always best 🤣

Biden apparently doubled over laughing and asked to keep the entire Mickey Mouse dispenser with PEZ tablets that Dengamle had brought, and then he had to leave.

You have to cut Dengamle some slack for not understanding that “escalation management” has changed in the last 2.5 years to giving Putin everything he points at as long as he threatens with nuclear weapons or sabotage.
The residents of Alaska are, by the way, now taking Russian language courses in case Putin would demand to get that area back, better not to take chances.

The die is reasonably cast when Trump meets Zelensky at 09:00, until then Biden owns the issue so I am getting ahead of events a bit but the post has to be posted on time, I have back-office and the editor after me 😐
If a statement comes that Zelensky’s peace plan is accepted and that the sluice gates to Sierra have been opened, we are back on track after a half ditching.

Another exciting day where you will get some work done and mostly scan the news.

11:47

To continue our fruitful discussion from yesterday HMS Repulse, and hope you had a nice evening.

I got stuck on one thing from you yesterday that I would like to raise again here today –
The overarching accusation from you that I have to defend myself against is probably that I “demonize” and spread “hate” in the thread (against Biden?), and that I am pro-Trump. Sorry if I misunderstood the accusations here.

I did read your statement about “escalation management” wrong yesterday and then apologized and fully retracted it.
Johan wrote –
“Sorry I interpreted ‘escalation management’ wrong so now when I read again”

When your quote from me about being a Trump fan turned out to be a completely honest unintentional misinterpretation (I have changed it from misinterpretation as it was an honest mistake, and misinterpretation sounds like you did it deliberately) then you also had the chance to apologize, right?

Your answer –
“Your post to MXT the next day (around 10 am) I had not read at all (and that’s quite a lot to ask when half a day had passed), that thing about wood glue feels a bit unpleasant but the standards for personal attacks apparently vary, maybe it’s some kind of jargon I don’t understand.”

So instead of apologizing for unconsciously managing to attribute something very serious to me (pro-Trump) for the whole thread to read and which was not true, you chose to spin it so that it was not your fault, and that I had carried out personal attacks on others in the thread instead?

I am happy to continue the discussion today but ask for time to get the information about VDV that you want sources for as I have to go through a few hundred of my posts – it will take a while.

As you can see, in today’s post I have only made claims that we have had sources for in the last month and then links where not posted before – I have put a lot of time so that it cannot be suspected that I am sloppy with source references or make false claims which some thread participants pointed out yesterday – thanks to everyone who pointed that out 🙏

Everything in today’s post is thus verifiable and my conclusions are in line with Volodymyr Zelensky’s which should be considered mainstream in the thread 👍

We can only get better, a lifelong struggle to improve ✊

12:49

Now we are de facto in NATO which Ukraine is not, and we have Article 5.
Then we also have our eastern defense – Finland – which guarantees that we do not need much of our own defense because they will die for our freedom.

But it is interesting in this context that the Soviet Union never envisioned a conventional war but invading Sweden in a cloud of tactical nuclear weapons which we did not prepare for.

Actually, we don’t need any defense at all because we are secured in NATO (and run fake budgets with our 3%) or we need deterrence in the form of long-range missiles with large warheads or nuclear weapons. I think the role of nuclear weapons is somewhat dying out like the dinosaurs but long-range missiles RU cannot shoot down with a good warhead is a must.

13:05

RB05 – I thought I wrote a friendlier post yesterday meant as an olive branch under my post about being painted into a corner and a yellow laughing emoji (which I regretted). Then I wrote further down in the thread that I had replied and saw that you replied with something sensible now 😀

My olive branch post was thus not posted for some reason, just wanted to clarify that 😅

13:05

This sounds messy, hard for me to understand what I mean 😲

13:09

Does established media have any kind of responsibility not to spread conspiracies that are completely fact-resistant or are they completely exempt from responsibility and allowed to write whatever they want on highly sensitive security policy issues anytime?

Especially when they reinforce the narrative Putin wants to get out.

Putin has been talking about nuclear weapons the entire war, by the way, 2.5 years. Shouldn’t one have learned a thing or two in that time?

13:24

These were certainly not cheerful news 😐
Zelensky has failed to convince Joe Biden to allow strikes on targets in Russia with missiles from the EU and/or the USA.
One had their suspicions, but now it is confirmed.

So now Russia can calmly continue to smash the Kursk offensive with FAB missiles and continue advancing in clouds of FAB near Pokrovsk and Vuhledar.
They can continue reequipping brigades in bases around Ukraine and then send them in for attacks.
They can continue storing ammunition and fuel used to murder children in Ukraine.

Ukraine must continue fighting with one hand tied behind its back.

I honestly can’t see how this is good for Ukraine, I simply don’t understand the motives?

The source is NYT and it’s Noel, so there’s a high risk that it’s true.

https://x.com/noelreports/status/1839614616839544886?s=46&t=Vah3JXV31B9lXwZOK5gF7w

Will check with Dengamle what he has to say and how Zelensky is doing.

13:35

Precisely with the ever-present threat of being called the worst of all – a “Trump fan” – I am very cautious about commenting on Trump. And he also has very little relevance to the Ukraine war.
Yes, I have probably joked about Trump before but realized it’s too sensitive so I completely leave him out.

Can NEVER accept that if you criticize Biden you would be a Trump fan and doing Putin’s bidding – Biden must be judged by his actions and he is currently responsible for all support to Ukraine.
Today Biden has decided he does not want a quick end to the war and neither can the EU give Ukraine that – because he has decided so on their behalf.

I am VERY worried that Zelensky is going to Trump at a time when Biden has said no to absolutely everything.
Because Biden has just handed a walkover to Trump and now we will see what that bastard has cooked up here.
I think Zelensky would have gone home if he had gotten what he wanted from Biden…

16:32

Zelensky in a meeting with Trump.

1. this can’t be fun for Zelensky 😐

2. the positive effect D had of standing united with Ukraine is now nullified when they chose not to support Ukraine.
(maybe it means absolutely nothing in the USA but a bit strange that Trump wanted to meet Zelensky then)

https://x.com/darthputinkgb/status/1839672651385561468?s=46&t=Vah3JXV31B9lXwZOK5gF7w

16:42

One of the worse days for me in the war, first Zelensky – Biden come out for a photoshoot and Zelensky with his wife look humiliated while Biden stands there smirking (or maybe that’s just how you look with dementia and itchy lice?)

Now comes a picture of a very uncomfortable Zelensky and a Trump who looks really principal-strict.
Humiliated once again by Trump 😐

How the hell Zelensky is supposed to sell this in Ukraine I honestly don’t know – being humiliated twice by the USA when the rest of the world has canonized him is very strange indeed but I guess you can’t be too free with the USA and maybe the audacity to come to the USA just before the election was not well received by the walking corpse and absolutely not by the orange man who was really scared yesterday – it probably felt pretty good for him to get Zelensky there and put him down a bit.

16:43

A united front against Zelensky simply from the president and the one who wants to be president.

17:06

Here you have five minutes on how Zelensky helped Trump avoid being impeached in the impeachment hoax.

https://x.com/jayinkyiv/status/1839677838166757657?s=46&t=Vah3JXV31B9lXwZOK5gF7w

17:09

There will probably be a press conference after the meeting but it won’t be more entertaining than the 5 minutes you just saw.

17:34

Zelensky got nothing from Trump either and looks about as when you were at university trying to stay awake while a crazy professor droned on in math.

And Trump looks worn out, he has probably never been up this early ever.

Then the fun was over – Zelensky comes home empty-handed regarding the critical victory plan 😐
The USA as a whole has thrown Zelensky under the bus but there is a reality to face and now we have seen the Churchill of our time humiliated in two meetings by men who consider themselves aspiring leaders and leaders of the best country in the world – history-less, empathy-less, detached from reality and elderly.

https://x.com/jayinkyiv/status/1839684846777516486?s=46&t=Vah3JXV31B9lXwZOK5gF7w

17:37

Now comes Ukraine’s view on Zelensky’s trip to the USA – he received a cold reception from the world police and world conscience USA.

https://x.com/euromaidanpr/status/1839690052592423263?s=46&t=Vah3JXV31B9lXwZOK5gF7w

19:14

International law no longer applies is my conclusion.

Instead of Zelensky getting strong guarantees that his country’s borders matter and support to win the war, his victory plan is rejected and the orange man promotes himself during that press conference.

Hopes that Harris will give Ukraine everything on November 7 are nothing more than hopes and we have had those for 2.5 years.

And on top of everything Zelensky is humiliated in the open by two dinosaurs.

19:20

I suspect that Zelensky will now in his next cabinet meeting declare that US rules no longer apply because there will be no support from the US – the holdback is gone.

If the holdback is gone, Ukraine can do anything, right?

But now they don’t have the equipment for that.

So then there’s the EU left, do you think Zelensky can get the UK, France, Italy on board with the missiles?
Sweden on Gripen?
The rest of the EU on all sorts of other things?

Do you think we dare?

The US has been telling us for quite a while to grow a backbone 😀

Don't forget to donate, Ukraine's cause is ours! Support Ukraine!
