Bloomberg reports that Russia lost over 50,000 soldiers in September – Russian losses

Bloomberg reports that Russia lost over 50,000 people in September, including over 28,000 Russian soldiers killed, according to information from a NATO official. Summing up Ukraine’s losses for September amounts to around 46,000, but they do not specify how many were killed. September is the deadliest month so far in 2026, and October looks like it could be just as deadly if the high losses continue.

Yesterday, Trump and the White House finally openly showed which side they stand on in the war when they try to deprive Ukraine of the greatest advantage they have over Russia. Trying to force Ukraine to stop bombing the refineries and at the same time blaming the high gasoline and diesel prices on it is, of course, just a way to deceive the American public. Everyone knows that prices soared when the US started the war on Iran. Russia had long, long before that already stopped exporting gasoline and diesel. Admittedly, they have had to import themselves and have to some extent influenced the price, but it is still negligible compared to the impact the war in Iran has had. Just accusing Ukraine of the price increases is in itself extremely low, but that is probably what you can expect from Trump who has a habit of lying.

Now he and his administration, however, have completely crossed the line when they seriously try to force Ukraine to stop bombing the refineries while (if the information is correct) calling around to European leaders and trying to get them to force Zelensky to stop the attacks and at the same time threatening to stop sharing intel and halt all deliveries of American weapons and American ammunition.
Moreover, they are considering importing diesel from Russia and thereby fueling Putin’s war chest.

Trump has once again also urged Zelensky to resign, when it is rather Trump himself who should step down. He has not exactly succeeded in fulfilling the most important of his campaign promises, and it even looks like the Democrats now have a chance to win the Senate. Had he done his job properly, they wouldn’t even be close. That he was against Ukraine and Zelensky was clear already two years before he won the presidential election. I was at least a bit naively hoping I was wrong about Trump. That his reluctance towards Ukraine and Zelensky was just a show to gain support from MAGA where America First is what matters.
He failed (which most understood) to end the war in 24 hours, but he still fulfilled his promise to stop supporting Ukraine and now he has finally shown that he completely stands on Russia’s side.

The question is who is more desperate, is it Putin who has begged him to stop Ukraine, or is it Trump himself who feels that the only chance to succeed in the midterm elections is to bring down gasoline prices? Now that diesel import from Russia, if Russia can even deliver, will not affect much. The first delivery that will arrive before the election corresponds to about one day of US diesel consumption.

Now it is important that Europe and others continue to stand on Ukraine’s side and finally fully realize that we cannot trust the USA.

The 1692nd day of the Russian Federation’s full-scale armed aggression against Ukraine has begun.

During the last 24 hours, a total of 264 combat engagements were recorded.
Yesterday, the enemy carried out 73 air strikes, during which 238 guided aerial bombs were dropped. In addition, the attackers used 8,985 kamikaze drones and conducted 2,468 shellings against communities and our troops’ positions, of which 51 were with rocket artillery.

Hostile shelling affected, among others, the communities of Bezsalivka, Korenok, Tovstodubove, Sopych, Ulanove, Malushyne, Rohizne, Kucherivka, Marchyshyna Buda, Potapivka, Rivne, Vasylivka, Kruzhok, Starykove, Yastrubshchyna, Senkivka, Iskryskivshchyna, Brusky, Kozache, and Mala Slobidka in the Sumy region, as well as Liskivshchyna, Kamin, and Naberezhne in the Chernihiv region. Mkhy and Rivne were subjected to air strikes.

During the last 24 hours, the defense forces’ air, missile units, and artillery hit an area with a concentration of enemy personnel, an artillery system, and a launch site for unmanned aerial vehicles.

On the northern Slobozhansky and Kursk sectors, the attacker conducted two air strikes with four guided aerial bombs and 35 shellings against our troops’ positions and communities.

On the southern Slobozhansky sector, Ukrainian units repelled 11 enemy attacks. The attackers tried to assault in the direction of the communities of Starytsia, Izbytske, Vovchanski Khutory, Kreidianka, Volokhivske, Buzove, and Dovhenke.

On the Kupyansk sector, the enemy tried 12 times to improve their positions through storming operations in the direction of Radkivka, Kutkivka, and Kivsharivka.

Attempts to break into our defense were repelled on the Lyman sector, where the occupiers conducted 13 attacks in the direction of the communities of Nove, Zarichne, Kolodiazi, Lyman, and Dibrova.

On the Slovyansk sector, the enemy conducted an attack in the area around Yampil.

On the Kramatorsk sector, the enemy conducted no storming operations.

On the Kostyantynivka sector, 32 attacks were recorded. The attackers conducted offensive operations in the area around Kostyantynivka and in the direction of Novoselivka, Osykove, Mykolaipillia, Novopavlivka, Raiske, Toretske, Hruzke, Volodymyrivka, and Maiak.

On the Pokrovsk sector, the enemy conducted 36 attacks. The occupiers tried to advance in the direction of the communities of Bilozerske, Chernihivka, Novyi Donbas, Vilne, Hannivka, Nykonorivka, Shevchenko, Serhiivka, Svitlé, Vasylivka, and Novohrishyne.

On the Oleksandrivka sector, the enemy stormed five times in the direction of Sichneve and Ternove.

On the Huljajpole sector, the occupiers attacked our defenders’ positions eight times. The enemy tried to advance in the direction of the communities of Uspishne, Rizdvianka, Shyroke, and Ternove.

On the Orikhiv sector, the enemy tried three times to assault in the direction of Pavlivka and Mali Shcherbaky.

On the Prydniprovsk sector, the occupiers conducted no storming operations.

On the Volyn and Polissya sectors, no signs have been detected that the enemy is forming offensive force groupings.

In total, the Russian attackers’ losses during the last 24 hours amounted to 1,470 personnel. In addition, two tanks, six armored combat vehicles, 51 artillery systems, four rocket artillery systems, two air defense systems, three ground-based missile systems, 1,416 unmanned aerial vehicles, 553 vehicles, and three units of special equipment were neutralized.
