  1. I warned ⚠️ yesterday about an escalating Russian offensive. Today’s series of attacks confirms this with a rising number of attacks compared to the peak that started the offensive the day before yesterday (day before yesterday/vorgestern). A strong Russian pressure with a particularly sharp increase in Sloviansk and Pokrovsk, which also causes the ratio of Ukrainian/Russian attacks to drop, even though the actual number of unlocalized Ukrainian attacks is largely unchanged compared to yesterday.

  2. It’s fun to work in the Caribbean right now with the flight problems… you never know how the next trip will go.

If they go after Cuba, there will probably be a total flight stop as well, Venezuela was farther away.

  3. You have probably already seen it, but if you missed it yesterday, the ceasefire between the USA and Iran has been extended, this time for an unlimited period.

“Donald Trump extends the ceasefire with Iran until further notice, he writes on Truth Social. The US blockade of Iranian ports also continues.

“The ceasefire is extended at the request of the mediator country Pakistan, writes Trump. Iran’s government is so divided that they have not been able to agree on a peace agreement proposal, according to the president.

“Therefore, I have instructed our military to continue the blockade and be prepared in all respects, and therefore extend the ceasefire until they (Iran, editor’s note) submit their proposal and the discussions are concluded one way or another.”

At present, no new peace talks have been officially confirmed.”

    1. “A container ship has been fired upon by Iran’s Revolutionary Guard in the sea northeast of Oman, near the Strait of Hormuz. This is reported by Reuters, referring to the British maritime traffic monitor UKMTO.

The ship’s bridge is said to have sustained extensive damage. However, no one is reported to be injured.

Iran has stated that the country will keep the strait closed as long as the US does not lift its blockade of Iran’s ports.”

    2. An extended ceasefire is perhaps the smartest option, but of course it depends on how far Iran is willing to go. Sooner or later their economy will collapse.

It’s unfortunate for the part of the population that does not support the regime, and at the same time it is not good for the global economy either, but it prevents people from being killed on both sides.

“The war has caused a massive wave of layoffs in Iran, reports the BBC.

Over two million people have lost their jobs due to the ongoing conflict with the USA and Israel, according to the country’s deputy labor minister Gholamhossein Mohammadi.

“You can see it in how empty the subway is,” writes an Iranian on X.

It is not only factories that have been forced to close after being hit by airstrikes. The war affects manufacturing, trade, export, import, and not least the digital sector. The internet shutdown is estimated to have cost the Iranian economy the equivalent of 16 billion kronor so far.

Household consumption has also decreased. Many only spend money on the absolute necessities, which has affected, among other things, the tourism and restaurant industries.”

    3. “As long as the USA maintains the blockade of Iranian ports, the Strait of Hormuz will remain closed. This is written by the Iranian news agency Tasnim, which has connections to the Revolutionary Guard, according to Reuters.

“If necessary, Iran will break the blockade militarily,” the news agency adds.

Trump’s extended ceasefire means nothing because “the losing side cannot dictate the terms,” writes an advisor to Iran’s speaker and negotiator Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf on X.

“Maintaining the blockade is equivalent to a bombing and must be met with a military response,” he adds.

The ceasefire is a way for the USA to buy time ahead of a surprise attack, the advisor believes, adding that Iran now “must take the initiative”.”

  4. 🤣🤣🤣 ceasefire and blocked Hormuz.

There is a rumor that the IRGC has taken over and that the group Trump/USA negotiated with is under house arrest.

    Not unreasonable.

  5. What does a ceasefire do?

Iran can bring in more militias from surrounding countries, making regime change increasingly difficult.

They can repair launch ramps and relocate weapons from storage and prepare them.

A ceasefire is BAD, and Israel has started saying so because they are the big losers here.

The US seems to be preparing a ground invasion in some form, but if they don’t.

    Is this –

    -incompetence

-part of a plan to tie up the US in ways that China likes? Meaning that part of the US administration is playing both sides?

-part of a plan to create an energy crisis?

    -all three.

An endless war in Iran would give dictatorial advantages to many countries.

The EU can start with lots of bans now, rationing, and social control if they want. The situation will soon be as precarious as during COVID, and then individual freedom was thrown out the window entirely for no good reason. Tegnell resisted in Sweden, but many countries became directly authoritarian.
