Ukraine has during the night attacked, among others, an oil terminal in Saint Petersburg and a weapons factory in the Tambov region – Russian losses

Ukraine carried out a large-scale drone attack on Saint Petersburg during the night. Images and videos show smoke clouds from several locations, and among other things, an oil terminal began to burn. The attack was carried out timely as the annual conference “2026 St. Petersburg International Economic Forum” had just started.
According to local authorities, 50 drones have been shot down but no further comments have been made.

  1. The US may place more combat aircraft capable of carrying nuclear weapons in Europe, according to sources cited by the Financial Times. According to the newspaper’s information, the purpose would be to assure other NATO countries that American security guarantees remain valid even if the number of troops on site decreases.

Poland is mentioned as a potential country, and Polish representatives are said to have expressed interest in having such aircraft on their territory.

Secret talks are ongoing within NATO cooperation, but no decision has been made, according to the sources.

    1. Should Pestråtta and Smegul start whining about escalation again?

The USA is worse than Swedish politicians at turning their coat fifty-eleven times a day! When will they start reaching the point they always have throughout history and take the right side?

  2. Off-Topic, the war in Iran

“Iran and the USA have carried out attacks described as the worst since the ceasefire came into effect in April, reports CNN.

The fighting is said to have started after the USA fired on an oil tanker heading towards the oil island Kharg in the Strait of Hormuz.

Iran responded, according to the US military, by sending drones into Kuwaiti and Bahraini airspace. The targets were said to be US military bases.

In subsequent counterattacks, the USA attacked military targets on the island of Qeshm, after which Iran’s Revolutionary Guard is said to have fired on a ship with American connections.

The USA states that all attacks have been stopped and that no one has been injured.

While the countries continue to attack each other, Iranian media have signaled that peace talks between Washington and Tehran continue. The US president has reiterated the message that a deal may be near and that an agreement could come in the near future.”

“The peace negotiations between Iran and the USA seem to be at a standstill – at least there are no signals that the war will end in the near future, report several American media.

At the end of last week, the Iranian negotiators stated that they were ending all talks with the USA with immediate effect. A few days later, on Tuesday, Donald Trump dismissed the reports as “false” and said that talks with Iran had taken place over the past four days. He also said that it is not “impossible” that an agreement to open the Strait of Hormuz could be reached in the coming week. The president has repeatedly during the war given similar statements that have not been fulfilled.

Iranian state media have also reported that talks with the USA have resumed and that they continue to evaluate the American peace proposal.

But there is still great uncertainty about how far apart the countries stand and no new meetings are planned. A key issue for Iran has previously been the American demand to dismantle the nuclear energy program and hand over all enriched uranium.”

  4. Off-Topic, the election in the USA

If you have a political majority in the Supreme Court, you do as you please.

“The Republicans in Alabama secure an important victory and get the green light from the Supreme Court to redraw the electoral map, write American media. This despite a federal judge recently ruling that the change intentionally discriminates against Black voters and violates the Constitution.

The change means that Black voters are spread out among the electoral districts so that they become a minority. This is considered to give the Republicans an advantage in the race to win seats from the Democrats and maintain their slim majority in the House of Representatives in the autumn election.”
    https://omni.se/republikanerna-far-rita-om-valkartan-i-alabama/a/m0LkRl

    1. No wonder that trust in Trump is at its lowest among Black people.

At the same time, he is most popular among men, older people, white people, and those with low education, but right now, not even a majority of any of these groups are satisfied with his performance.

    2. Is it gerrymandering?

Both sides probably excel at it and now the Rs have the advantage.

Could probably do something on the total if they manage to wrestle loose some “swing state”?

      1. It is true that both sides try to redraw the maps, but it is the Republicans who started exploiting it more extensively and they are the ones who have benefited the most.

It is difficult to find current information with summaries (it seems that the analyses are done just before the elections), but this is what it looked like in the 2024 election and it is expected to be even worse for the 2026 election.

“This decade, as last, Republicans disproportionately controlled the redistricting process, drawing 191 (or 44 percent) of the districts that will be used in this year’s elections. By contrast, Democrats fully controlled the drawing of only 75 districts. The rest were drawn by commissions, courts, or divided governments.

State courts also played a role in creating Republican advantages, because courts in states where Republicans drew maps (many of them with judges elected in partisan elections) have been much less inclined to police partisan gerrymandering than their counterparts in Democratic states. Thus, while large Democratic-favoring skews have been mostly corrected through legal review, Republican-favoring skews have almost uniformly remained uncorrected.

Democrats also drew skewed maps in a few places, but the 7 extra Democratic or Democratic-leaning seats in those maps are less than a third of the 23 extra GOP or GOP-leaning seats in states with Republican-favoring maps.”

        https://www.brennancenter.org/our-work/research-reports/how-gerrymandering-tilts-2024-race-house

It’s almost as if in Democratic states legal challenges are frequent and then one is correctly forced to back down, while in Republican states they have probably bought the judges as well and if that doesn’t work they appeal and let the Supreme Court decide..

Then we also have the nuisance where Republicans close polling stations in poorer areas so that people are forced to travel far and then also queue for half a day. All to make it as difficult as possible for people to get out and vote. It’s not easy to be forced to take a whole day off to vote. No wonder they have quite low voter turnout.

The USA is a broken democracy where this type of election fraud is completely acceptable.

        1. I believe that legally it has been said that the districts have been redrawn to the advantage of the Democrats by basing it on race, which is against the constitution. While it is allowed to redraw the districts based on party affiliation, which is the argument the Republicans use. Pretty crazy that it is allowed on both grounds.

  5. Hmm, undrar hur vanligt tvångsarbete verkligen är i t.ex. EU och Kanada? Låter mest som en påhittad anledning att höja tullarna igen, annars tycker jag inte tanken är helt fel.

“🇺🇸The US is preparing tariffs of 10-12.5% on goods from 60 countries that US believes are taking insufficient measures to combat forced labor. 10% tariffs could apply to Canada, Ecuador, EU, Indonesia, Mexico, Pakistan, Argentina, Bangladesh, Cambodia, El Salvador, Guatemala, Malaysia, Taiwan, UK.”

  6. Damn crappy construction! Both figuratively and literally!

Since they started building the new sewage treatment plant here in the neighborhood, power outages have unfortunately come and gone from time to time.

    Apologies for the disruption!

Birds of the @1usc_army , @usf_army hunted down and set ablaze the corvette Boikiy, a guided missile weapons carrier. 06:35, 03.06.26. Veleshchynskyi Dry Dock, Kronstadt (St. Petersburg) – the cradle of the russian Navy. Tired after its voyages, the Boikiy entered scheduled maintenance in February 2026. Project 20380 corvette Boikiy – the third corvette of the Baltic Fleet. Fairly new, untouched until now: launched in 2011, commissioned in 2013. It built a colorful record of adventures along NATO borders, escorted the worms’ shadow oil fleet, a hardworking little vessel. Perhaps best remembered for its triumphant collision with the research vessel Admiral Vladimirskiy. The corvette was deflowered by Birds of the 1st Separate Center of the Unmanned Systems Forces. And how did it go back in 1921, during the brutally suppressed Kronstadt sailors’ uprising? “Power to the Soviets, not to the Party!” Metaphorical, perhaps. Symbolic, certainly – a slap across the face of a dictatorship. And increasingly, a pattern. To be continued… USF online scoreboard “PIDRAKHUIKA” https://sbs-group.army MAGYAR  03.06.26 **

  8. Off-Topic, AI

The mythical Mythos from Anthropic becomes available to selected parties in Sweden.

“Anthropic is expanding access to the advanced AI model Mythos, which has not yet been released publicly. This is reported by the Financial Times.

Through the initiative Project Glasswing, approximately 150 more organizations in more than 15 countries will gain access to the model. Sweden is one of the countries included in the expansion, according to an insider source.

It is not disclosed which Swedish actors will get access. No other Nordic countries are mentioned, but other European countries such as Germany, the Netherlands, and Spain are.

Mythos is described as a powerful tool for identifying security vulnerabilities in software systems, but there are concerns that in the wrong hands it could be used for serious hacker attacks against critical infrastructure.” https://omni.se/sverige-uppges-fa-tillgang-till-ai-modellen-mythos/a/rrnwzw

  9. We must now SINCERELY hope that Europe does NOT push for a ceasefire at all this year.

EU membership is probably the last pressure that will have any effect.

  10. Russia can absorb a lot and they can escalate.

Iran did what no one believed, for example.

But they cannot prevent the Azov assaults or what is to come on the ground – they simply cannot practically stop it unless China enters the war, which they will not.

The last thing they will have left is nuclear weapons, but it is not unlikely that UA keeps watch and drones if it moves – THAT would be total humiliation 🤩🤩

Israel has its “mutual destruction” doctrine, right?

As soon as RU shows weakness, some republics will proclaim freedom and Belarus will fall/be liberated depending on one’s perspective.

Ukraine will never stop – they have done their homework.

I believe much is Budanov and Zelensky. They were on the same side during the critical time so power struggles did not cut off the head – everyone was afraid of GUR who chose the light.

  11. UK again, the police are completely useless.

The guy who was stabbed – now the video has been released and he says everything.

    “I am stabbed, I can’t breathe”

police – you are under arrest and put on handcuffs.

What do they do – lay him on his side so the lungs fill with blood and then they haven’t called an ambulance.

    Aiding and abetting murder?

They must surely read the situation properly?

Besides, not everyone around has called an ambulance, exciting times in the UK.

And then no urgency at all in the message to the ambulance.

    1. Incredibly poor action, there will likely be prosecution for that otherwise it is a scandal.

They cannot have understood that it was a deep stab wound without thinking the injury was that serious, or they are really stupid.

Then they still have a very long way to go before they reach ICE (bottom) level in the USA.
There they have shot dead at least three unarmed people and a fourth (legally) armed, as well as also shooting several people. One was shot five times but survived.

      1. Well, ICE quickly became some kind of stormtroopers, the UK is behind on that 😀

I don’t like police violence or authority violence that is obvious.

  12. AFU🇺🇦:

”⚡️⚡️ A Project 20380 corvette has been hit in Kronstadt

⚡️During the night of June 3, 2026, units from the Ukrainian Defense Forces in Kronstadt (one of the bases of the Russian Navy’s Baltic Fleet) hit a Project 20380 corvette of the “Steregushchiy” type. According to preliminary information, the ship involved is the “Boikiy.”

A large fire has been confirmed on board the ship. The outcome and extent of the damage are under investigation.

Project 20380 corvettes are versatile combat vessels for littoral waters, intended for combating surface ships, submarines, and air targets, as well as for carrying out attacks on coastal targets.

💪 Ukraine’s defense forces will continue to systematically take measures to force Russia to cease its armed aggression against Ukraine.

    💥 To be continued!

    1. More confirmations from AFU🇺🇦 about attacks on Russian targets (reported earlier today by MXT and others):

“⚡️⚡️The oil terminal ”Saint Petersburg”, the ”Michurinsk Progress factory” and the ”Saki” airport have been hit. The results of the strikes on the ”Ilskij” oil refinery have been confirmed. The oil facility ”Zenzevatka” has been shut down.

On June 2 and the night of June 3, 2026, units within the Ukrainian Armed Forces carried out attacks on a number of important facilities belonging to the Russian occupiers.

⚡️In particular, the oil terminal ”Saint Petersburg” (Saint Petersburg, Leningrad region, Russia) has been hit. It has been confirmed that the target was struck and that a fire broke out at the terminal area.

The oil terminal is one of the largest transshipment facilities for oil products in the Baltic Sea region and plays an important role in the export and logistics of the Russian Federation’s fuel resources. Its capacity is 10 million tons per year. The facility is used to meet the needs of the aggressor state’s military formations.

⚡️In addition, according to preliminary data, ships and infrastructure facilities in the port of Kronstadt have been hit. The extent of the damage is being investigated.

⚡️The company ”Michurinsky Zavod Progress” (Michurinsk, Tambov region, Russia), which manufactures components for high-precision weapons, has also been hit. A fire has been reported on the company’s premises. The extent of the damage is being investigated.

The company specializes in manufacturing instruments for control systems for Russian aviation and missile technology, in particular gyroscopic stabilization instruments, autopilots, navigation course indicators, and other parts of pilot and navigation systems used in the occupiers’ aircraft, missiles, and drones.

⚡️Furthermore, the radio-technical system for close navigation RBSN-4N at the ”Saki” airport (Novofedorivka, the occupied Crimean Peninsula) has been hit.

⚡️Among other targets, an ammunition and UAV warehouse (Galitsynivka, Donetsk region), a fuel and lubricant depot (Bilolutsk, Luhansk region), and an enemy command and observation post (Selidove, Donetsk region) have been hit.

⚡️According to the results of previous strikes, damage was confirmed on June 2, 2026, to a technical bridge, a primary oil refining facility AVT, and two RVS-5000 tanks at the ”Ilskij” oil refinery (Krasnodar region, Russia).

⚡️It has also been confirmed that oil pumping at the ”Zenzevatka” oil pumping station in the Volgograd region (Russia) was stopped as a result of a strike on June 2, 2026.”

  13. Has this been up?

    DeepState report shows a turnaround:

”Ukraine has gained more territory than Russia occupied over the same period in May, pushing overall Russian advances into the negative for the first time since 2023.”

    Despite more attacks:

”The reverses Russia suffered came despite a significant increase in Russian assault actions, which jumped up by 37.5% in May.”

    Rob Lee:

“Russia typically advances faster in the late spring-fall, but we aren’t seeing an increase in the rate of advance. It is important because the seasons have already changed and Russian advances have not increased.”
