Oil terminal in Saint Petersburg is not doing so well, and the feeling is the same regarding a ferry terminal in Crimea – Today’s report on Russian losses, etc.

This morning Putin woke up unusually early. He had once again dreamed the same nightmare that he had been dreaming often these days. In the dream, none other than Zelenskyy was standing at the gas station when Putin had his driver steer the luxuriously modified Mercedes (a gift from Merkel) in to fill up with gas.
Zelenskyy just stood there like a devil, smirking mockingly while shaking his head to signal “There’s no gas today either, Vladimir.”
At the same time, the car coughed and the engine stopped, and the heat inside the car became unbearable as the AC no longer worked. It was there, sweating without knowing if it was cold sweat or the seventy-degree sauna heat, that he woke up with a start.

He had recently understood that this type of dream always had a cause. Sure enough, it was the same this morning. His gaze landed on the daily report lying on his bedside table and then he understood.

Ukraine had once again struck the Russian fuel industry. Putin sighed deeply and felt darkness descend upon his mind. This time it was at least not Moscow that was affected, but it was almost as bad. It was Saint Petersburg, Russia’s pearl. According to the report, it involved wreckage from drones that caused fires, but by now he had learned to see through his generals’ lies. When the helpless anger spreading in Putin’s chest calmed down a bit, he realized that someone had to pay for this lousy morning. Polonium-laced tea, or falling from windows didn’t feel sufficient!

He was more upset than he had been in a while. This was starting to wear on him! In an attempt to find some form of harmony, he looked at his bedmate; after all, it had been a wonderful night. He was truly satisfied with the latest one. There was absolutely nothing as satisfying as spending time with himself. Vladimir, Vladimir Putin number seven was not only a perfect copy but also an improved version. Not just a little better looking but at least three inches taller. Putin became a little jealous for a moment but shook off the feeling. Despite the war against Ukraine really not going as planned, he was still happy. For the first time in his life, he was actually in love!

Less than two hours later, the Ukrainian intelligence service delivered their report to Zelenskyy. Of course, they could not know what was really going on in Putin’s head, but the report stated that they had observed Putin lying in bed, grinning foolishly happily next to his copy. That was not quite the reaction Zelenskyy had hoped for, but he immediately ordered preparations for further attacks. If Putin loved to see Russia burn, Ukraine could do nothing but continue its attacks.

  1. A bit calmer today from the Russian side after yesterday’s push on various fronts. Today increased pressure on other fronts, appears to be Luhansk. While the total number of Russian attacks localized along the front line fell, there is still high intensity on the battlefield, which suggests that the Ukrainian side increased its pressure. Ratio 1.0: as many Ukrainian as Russian attacks.

Who would have thought there is a budding writing talent in MXT. You should develop this vein a bit. I look forward to new loads from you.
Speaking of writers, I dropped by to take a quick look at the “other blog” today and there the “author” continues to piss on his readers because they dare to think that his “completely” apolitical stance regarding the mood and fixation he woke up with that day concerning Swedish domestic politics. According to him, they should just swallow this and not dare to express any dissenting opinion on the topics he chooses to write about. Otherwise, they engage in “domination techniques” and can rightfully be banned by “the almighty” whose posts are one long study in exactly “domination techniques” seasoned with tons of hubris because if they don’t fall in line and submissively nod in agreement on all issues the “master author” raises on his so enormously self-sacrificing blog by the author and universal genius himself, it basically hinders all aid to Ukraine.

From what I can gather from his outbursts, it seems that more and more of those who still tolerate his inflated self-image and “sensitive skin” are getting restless, and a further exodus from his blog is to be expected.
You should know that you are warmly welcome here just as you are and with exactly whatever opinions you have (although Green Party members should probably beware of Johan’s wrath, which is not far behind the biblical kind 😉 ).

    1. Don’t think much will happen with that. That tirade probably comes around once a month and is therefore not particularly controversial. Those who have been bothered by such things have probably long since left.

    2. The second blog mostly resembles a cult. With a cult leader who is the only legitimate interpreter of reality and a following that devoutly follows and agrees with everything the cult leader proclaims. The strangest thing is how the cult leader reconciles this unhealthy order with the alleged commitment to freedom and democracy.

      1. Saw a long time ago in a thread on Flashback dedicated specifically to the universal genius, the author and blogger, that is not Johan and MXT who at least seem to be familiar with the concept of genuine humility.
According to some writers in the current thread, it is speculated that behind some of the pseudonyms commenting on his blog, stands the author himself……

        1. At least previously. I don’t think he uses these anymore, as they were as quarrelsome and polemical as the posts themselves. Lex BenDover. They were probably meant to drive traffic. Like ragebait.

  3. Linus Weissbach comes out as a vatnik and sympathizer of terror, torture, and rape.
The Swedish ice hockey player Linus Weissbach is leaving Frölunda to play for SKA St. Petersburg in the Russian KHL league, writes Sportbladet.
The Russian club, known for its connections to the Kremlin and Vladimir Putin, has presented Weissbach on its social media.
He becomes the first Swede to move directly from the SHL to the Russian league since Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine in 2022, writes Expressen.

    1. I wouldn’t be surprised if, in the not too distant future, we see Linus walking along Malmskilnadsgatan offering his services to the highest bidder. The category of individuals that Linus apparently belongs to does anything for money.
I don’t know if Linus has any nicknames like Foppa or Sudden.
If not, then Linus “RyssHoran” Weissbach is right on the mark.

Linus is a good guy and hockey player, but we have chosen to go a different way, we want to build our offense differently.

Linus has clearly shown that he is either insane or not a good guy at all. There is no need to say platitudes about someone who is obviously an a**hole. Admittedly, the press release came about two months ago, so it could be that the person was unaware of Weissbach’s severely lacking morals, but then they should come out with a correction.

  4. ** Russia’s FSB Chief Personally Leads Campaign to Divide Ukraine and Poland – UNITED24 Media
    July 4, 2026
Russia is preparing a new information operation aimed at worsening relations between Ukraine and Poland by publishing forged World War II documents related to the Volhynia tragedy. This was stated by Ukraine’s Center for Countering Disinformation (CCD) on July 4.
Andrij Kovalenko, head of the CCD under Ukraine’s National Security and Defense Council, said that the operation is led by the head of the Russian Federal Security Service (FSB), Aleksandr Bortnikov, and is expected to intensify on July 5 through Russian-controlled state media.
“FSB Director Bortnikov is currently responsible for Russia’s information operations aimed at creating division between Poland and Ukraine,” Kovalenko said.
According to Kovalenko, the Russian intelligence services plan to publish what Ukraine describes as fabricated historical documents related to the Volhynia tragedy, with the goal of reviving historical conflicts between Ukrainians and Poles.
The CCD stated that the publication will be accompanied by a coordinated information campaign in Russian state media. Ukrainian authorities also report increased activity from Russia-linked botnets targeting Polish recipients with manipulative content and emotionally charged stories about disputed parts of Polish-Ukrainian history.
The warning follows earlier statements from Poland’s Minister Coordinator for Special Services, Tomasz Siemoniak, who has said that Russia uses troll factories, botnets, and other information warfare tools to exploit historical conflicts between Poland and Ukraine, thereby deepening divisions between the two societies.
According to the CCD, the Kremlin has for many years built narratives around sensitive historical issues to create tensions between neighboring countries and undermine regional cohesion.
The warning comes as Kyiv and Warsaw have recently sought to reduce tensions over historical issues. During talks in Warsaw, Ukraine’s Foreign Minister Andrij Sybiha and Poland’s Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski discussed measures such as diplomatic consultations, meetings between historians, and dialogue between religious leaders.

  5. The Guardian latest on the war.
** The war in Ukraine: Germany calls reports of Russian soldiers being trained in China “deeply disturbing”
    4 July 2026
Germany’s Foreign Ministry summoned China’s ambassador in Berlin on Friday for urgent talks following media reports that Russian soldiers are being trained in China.
The ministry described the reports as “deeply disturbing” and said they indicate support for Russia from Chinese state actors, especially the People’s Liberation Army.
“Anything that enables Russia to continue its offensive war against Ukraine also poses a threat to our own security,” said the Foreign Ministry.
On 20 May, the German newspaper Die Welt reported, citing classified European intelligence, that the Chinese military had secretly trained several hundred Russian soldiers on Chinese territory. Some of these are said to have subsequently served in Ukraine.
Russia claims Kostiantynivka has been captured
Russia’s Ministry of Defense claimed on Friday that its forces have now taken “full control” of Kostiantynivka in eastern Ukraine, a city Moscow has long tried to capture as part of its advance in the Donetsk region.
The fighting over the city, which had about 78,000 inhabitants before the war, has been ongoing since late 2025 and now constitutes Russia’s main offensive effort along a front over 1,000 kilometers long.
“The city is now completely under our control,” said Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov.
The claim has not yet been independently verified.
    Heavy bombing raid on Sumy
An extensive Russian attack with cruise missiles on central parts of the northern Ukrainian city of Sumy killed at least four people, including a child, and injured 27, according to regional governor Oleh Hryhorov.
Other areas in the Sumy region as well as parts of southeastern Ukraine closer to the front line were also attacked, with a total of six people killed.
After the attacks, Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky called on the country’s allies to increase pressure on Russia.
“So that the terror can be stopped.”
The Sumy region, located on the border with Russia, is subjected to almost constant Russian attacks. Moscow is simultaneously trying to expand what it describes as a buffer zone in the area.
Ukraine seeks to reduce tensions with Poland
Poland’s Prime Minister Donald Tusk said on Friday that Ukraine is seeking ways to reduce tensions with Warsaw. He added that Ukraine needs to come to terms with its history in order to become a member of the European Union.
Relations between the countries deteriorated after Poland’s President Karol Nawrocki revoked one of Poland’s highest honors from Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky. The background was Zelensky naming a military unit after insurgents who participated in massacres of Poles during World War II.
Tusk, who is a political opponent of Nawrocki, has tried to ease the tensions and said he received positive signals from the meeting in Warsaw between Ukraine’s Foreign Minister Andrij Sybiha and Poland’s Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski.
    Among the proposals are:
    consultations between historians,
    dialogue between religious leaders,
continued diplomatic contacts between the countries.
Lithuania wants to be included in the Western nuclear deterrence
Lithuania’s President Gitanas Nausėda said on Friday that the country wants to be integrated into the Western nuclear deterrence against Russia.
At a press conference in Berlin, he said he had initiated a constitutional amendment to abolish the current ban on the deployment of nuclear weapons on Lithuanian territory.
“We want to be an integrated part of this nuclear deterrence.”
Shortly thereafter, a group of about 50 Lithuanian parliamentarians submitted a proposal for a constitutional amendment, which still must be considered by parliament.
Russian and Belarusian athletes remain banned
The World Athletics Council decided on Friday to maintain the suspension of Russian and Belarusian athletes from international competitions.
The decision comes four years after sanctions were imposed due to the invasion of Ukraine.
Although the eight-year doping-related ban on the Russian Athletics Federation was lifted in 2023, the separate suspension linked to the war remains.
World Athletics chairman Sebastian Coe said:
“We presented various options for the council to consider, but the original decision remains to protect the integrity and fairness of our competitions, as no tangible progress toward peace negotiations has been observed.”

    1. Now Germany can take back the manufacturing of Mercedes, Volkswagen, Audi, Opel, and BMW from China, as well as the purchase of all components from there. Also raise tariffs on Chinese-made products. Force the divestment of all Chinese ownership of German companies at nominal value. Require all EU countries that want to import German cars to apply the same rules. That is, if Sweden does not force the divestment of Volvo, ceases Chinese manufacturing and the import of Chinese-made cars, then BMW’s, Volkswagen’s, and others’ stores in Sweden will be closed.

      1. Service for all German brands will cease. Geo-based deactivation. (applies to acceleration: the downhill Öresund Bridge begins a bit after crossing the border.)

  6. The threat from Russia is not something that will come after a possible peace in Ukraine – it is current here and now. The Supreme Commander warns that Russia can test NATO’s Article 5 at any time, Russia is building bases for 80,000 soldiers on the Kola Peninsula, and the math is simple: the earlier Russia acts, the greater the chance of success. As a former Gripen pilot, I go through what this concretely means for Sweden.
