Ukraine has attacked oil terminal and port infrastructure on both sides of the Kerch Strait – Russian losses

During the night, Ukraine attacked both sides of the Kerch Strait, and both an oil terminal and port infrastructure were set on fire. Read more at Kyiv Independent. It is remarkable if they managed to reach both sides of the strait considering that the bridge is supposed to be well protected by air defenses. There is no information about that, but it is not impossible that Ukraine also tested approaching the bridge to see how well it was guarded.

Russia also attacked Ukraine during the night, and in Zaporizhzhia at least five were killed and twelve injured, and in Poltava eleven injured are reported, including five children. Read more here and here.

  1. Apologies for the missing post yesterday. I saw when I was about to publish today’s post that yesterday’s was never published and was still saved as a draft.. 🙄🤷‍♂️

    1. ** 🔥 June 21, 2026, Kerch, Crimea, among the probable targets:

Kerch Sea Port, industrial zone, TES-Terminal, specifically the railway terminal for the transshipment and storage of oil products and liquefied gas: 45°20’04.25″N 36°27’57.93″E

Location of military unit 98546, this number belongs to the 630th Separate Railway Battalion, which is part of the 39th Separate Railway Brigade of the Russian Federation: 45°21’06.19″N 36°35’39.63″E

Port “Caucasus, Oil Products Transshipment Complex”: 45°20’09.15″N 36°40’18.90″E

Port “Caucasus”, Platform for storage and waiting before loading onto a ferry: 45°20’31.62″N 36°40’42.92″E

    2. Malcolm är inne på samma tanke som jag, om de kan slå på vardera sida om bron, hur väl är då bron egentligen skyddad?

** In occupied Crimea, Ukraine successfully attacked the ro-ro railroad ferry Terminal in Kerch and Port Kavkaz in Russia’s Krasnodar Krai. The ro-ro railroad ferries are the primary transportation route of petrol, diesel, and aviation fuel to occupied Crimea.

Here’s the bigger takeaway. If Ukrainian drones/cruise missiles were able to hit both of these critical civil/military infrastructure sites in the same attack, Ukraine can attack the Crimean Bridge. They’ll do it when the time is right. The time isn’t right – yet.**

    3. Russian air defense seems to be having more and more problems. I guess it is a combination of persistent effort and possibly an emerging technological/tactical advantage for Ukraine. They simply know how to plan the attacks to best deceive the Russian air defense.

One more guess: they are preparing to take down the bridge for good.

  2. Lyman continues to climb, at least the Russian pressure there. Otherwise, decreased Russian localized pressure, as well as Ukrainian unlocalized. Lower number of battles in total and decreased ratio.

  3. Z: “Our long-range sanctions have reached Russia’s Tyumen region – another oil-processing facility, over 2,000 kilometers from our state border. An effective strike.

The job was carried out by the new, upgraded FP drones that can now reach targets at distances of 3,000 kilometers. I am grateful to the Fire Point engineers.

Our mid-range strikes against military targets in the temporarily occupied territory of Ukraine are also ongoing and having a real impact on Russian military logistics.”

  4. Even the mainstream media report on last night’s attacks.
    Via Omni:
Four people have been killed and 28 injured in Ukrainian drone attacks on the Russian-occupied Crimean Peninsula over the weekend. This is reported by the Russian administration in Crimea according to Reuters.
According to Kyiv Post, the attacks targeted fuel depots and military facilities on the peninsula.
The leader of the Russian administration in Crimea, Sergei Aksyonov, writes in a post on Telegram that the sale of fuel to private individuals and companies will be cut off from 9:00 AM local time on Sunday.

  5. **❗️Commander of the 🇺🇦Unmanned Systems Forces Magyar: “Crimea is ‘burning’. On the night of June 21, the ‘Birds of the Unmanned Systems Forces’ struck an oil depot and terminal in Kerch, two radars (‘Kasta-2E2’ and ‘Nebo-U’), three gas compressor stations, a fuel tank (POL), and enemy logistics.“ **

  6. ANDERS RYDEN

Now it seems Ukraine steadily has +400 vehicles & fuel tanks.
When that number drops sharply downwards, Ukraine steps in and starts cleaning up in occupied areas.

Also note Ukraine’s tougher tone towards Belarus.

I also believe we will receive very positive signals from many NATO countries at the next Rammstein round.

    1. Approximately since the turn of the year, the increase began and it still seems to be able to continue rising.

We will see if it will continue upward for a while longer before it turns down, regardless it almost has to be unsustainable to lose between 300-500 soft vehicles every day.

Surely some motorcycles and other small things are included in the reports but most of what you see in videos now are still tankers and trucks and other somewhat larger vehicles.

      1. ANDERS RYDEN

When you see tankers and trucks.
Then think that it is mainly “bullets, beans, and band-aids” that do not reach the fighters.
        Not to mention drinking water.
Is it three days one can survive without water?

        1. Almost makes you wish for a real damn heatwave in Crimea and southern Ukraine. The fighting spirit will probably drop quickly if there is a shortage of water and scorching heat.

  7. ** Russian-occupied Crimea completely suspends gas sales to civilians as Ukrainian drone strikes squeeze peninsula.
“Fuel will only be dispensed to state services that ensure the vital activities and security of the Republic of Crimea,” Sergey Aksyonov, the Russian-appointed governor of occupied Crimea, said in a video address on the morning of June 21. **

    1. Given out to various dignitaries during the vital relocation from Crimea, they probably mean. Gotta make sure there’s enough, the day is approaching 😂.

  8. RU is trying to deploy countermeasures on the Taganrog-Crimea road.

Mobile anti-drone patrols, own AI drones, and more.

Everything has an expiration date, so this advantage must be capitalized on this year by UA.

Long-range drones are operated by RU – UA only changes geographic area when LV starts to function.

But RU can retaliate, which they will continue to do – UA is more resilient than RU though.

RU has started to lie about their own successes at the fronts – a good sign.

They are probably worried about Crimea now, have reinforced the entire coast 😀
