Ukraine has once again attacked the port of Ust-Luga in Russia – Russian losses and activities

Ukraine has once again attacked Russia’s port Ust-Luga and its oil terminal. Images and videos on social media show multiple explosions in the area. The mayor claims that they have shot down 22 drones. Unfortunately, there is still no information on whether the oil terminal or other parts of the port have been damaged. Read more here.

The Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has warned the Baltic states, claiming that Ukraine is allowed to use their airspace to attack Russia and its ports. The Baltic states have repeatedly denied this. One might wonder why Russia is so agitated about it when they themselves have used Belarus to attack Ukraine, not only through air strikes but also with ground troops. They are such hypocrites that it is laughable.
I think the Baltic states should instead come out and say that it is completely OK for Ukraine to use their airspace so we can cross that red line too.

For those who are convinced that Russia will attack any of the Baltic states, this can of course be seen as a way for them to legitimize such an attack, “It is absolutely necessary to eliminate all threats and protect Russia!”

Russian losses in Ukraine

Other than KWIA under a thousand and no tanks, it is otherwise a fairly good loss report.

  • 980 KWIA
  • 4 AFVs
  • 65 Artillery systems
  • 3 MLRS
  • 2 Air defense systems
  • 1945 UAVs
  • 248 Vehicles and Fuel tanks
  • 3 Special equipment

Russian activities

Slightly fewer battles, slightly fewer suicide drones than the current average, and the same for artillery.

  • 150 battles
  • 84 air strikes
  • 242 KAB
  • 8,625 suicide drones
  • 3,227 artillery shells (42 from MLRS)

  1. Iran

So they are supposed to risk their lives so that Iran can later say “Look what terrible things the USA has done!” after they have been bombed.

“The Iranian regime is urging the country’s youth to form a ‘human chain’ around energy facilities on Tuesday. The statement comes after US President Donald Trump threatened extensive attacks on Iran’s energy infrastructure.

Minister of Youth and Sports Alireza Rahimi wrote on X that he hopes many Iranians ‘participate in the national campaign.’ He also refers to attacks on energy facilities as potential war crimes.

Trump demands that Iran agree to a ceasefire deal before Wednesday night. The president suggests that ‘the entire country could be taken out’ in one night.

On Monday evening, Iranian state media reported that the regime had rejected a ceasefire proposal.”

    1. Will Iran now urge women and children to take the train?

“Israel’s military is urging Iranians to avoid taking the train, writes Haaretz.

In a post in Farsi published on X, the military states, among other things: ”Being on the train or near the tracks puts you in mortal danger.”

Israel has previously announced plans for new extensive attacks on Iran’s infrastructure and energy facilities.””

    2. The Iranian people have truly ended up between a rock and a hard place. Trump, whom they thought would overthrow the mullah regime and give them freedom, is now talking about wiping out an entire civilization.

Their ruling mullah regime wants the people to die for them, the same regime that kills them if they demand freedom.

  2. 😎 The fire group of DFTG1 of the Obukhiv community destroyed an enemy “Shahed”, which was flying at residential buildings in Obukhiv, Kyiv region. The drone was shot down from a twin machine gun mount “Maxim”.

  3. Sweden will allocate €400 million for Tridon Mk2 air defense systems to help Ukraine counter Shahed drones as part of a broader €1.2 billion aid package.

  4. I wonder if Vance’s presence will really help Orbán.

“US Vice President JD Vance is traveling to Hungary today to support Viktor Orbán in his election campaign. Hungary is heading to the polls this weekend and the nationalist leader is trailing behind the opposition in the polls.

Vance will be in Hungary for two days and will, among other things, participate in one of the prime minister’s campaign meetings, Reuters reports, citing Hungarian government sources.

    – I look forward to meeting my good friend Viktor, said the Vice President before the trip.

Orbán is a close ally of Donald Trump and his administration. It is no coincidence that he is being visited by an American leader at this stage, according to Asli Aydintasbas at the Brookings Institution think tank.

    – The visit is not routine diplomacy but a clear support for Viktor Orbán ahead of the toughest election in his life, he says.”

    1. I don’t know how Hungarians or people in general think, maybe the visit helps. But as I have written before, I don’t know any foreigner living outside of Sweden who could influence how I vote. They have zero knowledge and their loyalty does not lie with the country going to the polls. In this case, loyalty lies with the USA, not Hungary.

      1. Also find it difficult to see how it could affect.
Might be if one promises good deals and tariffs that are favorable for Hungary “only if they vote right”.

    2. Anyone who may have hesitated about whether the USA is our friend has now received clear answers. They are openly supporting the presidential candidate who is cozying up to the Kremlin. Vance may of course have, and is entitled to have, opinions on European politics, and in some respects, one can understand him. But this is outrageously coarse. Utterly lacking in judgment. Although, well, didn’t all reasonably thinking people already know that?

      1. Yes, it feels like it has been obvious for a while that he wants to try to disrupt the EU and gain influence in Europe himself.

Well, the MAGA movement has probably had an eye on Hungary for a long time, they apparently like the type of politics that Orbán stands for. There are also those who have argued that Putin is not a threat but stands for the right values. It may not be so strange if Trump wants Orbán to stay in power and use him for his own purposes.

        1. Yes, of course, there are those who dislike European politics and would prefer to see an alternative. One can even have some understanding for that. I haven’t listened to Vance’s infamous speech, only read highly critical reports. However, perhaps there was something worth listening to. However, if one chooses to support Putin and the Kremlin because of that, then all sense and reason have gone out the window. What can one say!?

    3. It’s time for the EU to wake up.

There is no longer any doubt that the USA and Russia are collaborating to divide the countries of Europe!

Perhaps that’s why Trump can’t let Russia lose, because it would strengthen Europe.

  5. If the Russian pack would try to enter somewhere in the Baltics, it will go to hell faster than quickly. No chance that the vodka-drinking idiots can handle a two-front war when NATO is also involved. Because the real NATO, i.e. those who have seen what fascism can lead to, will strike back.
The USA will stand by for a while and then realize (not Trump, but others) that they have just proven that they are not to be trusted and their world policing is over, and others will take over if they don’t do anything.
They must choose a side and as always, they will eventually choose the right and winning one.

    1. I don’t believe that Russia would stand a chance either. Possibly initially before we have had a chance to react. However, it’s more difficult to know where Trump will stand. Maybe it’s like you suggest. When he sees where things are heading, he will choose a side.

    2. Flurrevuppen

No… the Russian themselves are not the main risk… it’s more troublesome if their allies in the shit house cut off the energy exports to Europe….

    3. Yes, even though Russia has drone weapons and can cause a lot of trouble, they have Russian air defense, and we have the ability to stop all Russian traffic in the Baltic Sea, and bomb all military installations along the entire border from the Black Sea to Murmansk.

What may be difficult is to end the war, even if the Russian conventional forces were weakened, they would have the ability to lob drones across the borders as long as no one stops them, that is, as long as the regime is not overthrown.

  6. Further information has emerged about Europe’s truly unique “Trojan pig”:
“In a phone call between Viktor Orbán and Russian President Vladimir Putin in October, the Hungarian Prime Minister is said to have stated that he is willing to go to great lengths to help the Kremlin. Bloomberg reports having seen the transcript of the call.

“Yesterday, our friendship reached a level where I can help in any way,” Orbán said in the call.

The Prime Minister emphasized that he is “available” on many different issues.”

Let us hope that among the governments within the EU, plans have been made to exclude Hungary from the union if Orbán clings to power and/or to let their security services uncover the Trojan horse.

    1. The question is whether it is possible. I am not a lawyer, but judging by the debate, it does not seem possible. The “founding fathers of the constitution” have, as usual, been naive. Didn’t see it coming to quote a famous Swedish politician.

    2. Yes, if he wins one would of course wish that they can be excluded, but as Jan W writes, it doesn’t seem to be that simple with the rules that have been set up.

  7. Trump has just threatened with Armageddon if Iran does not capitulate completely. The Swedish stock market completely ignores this and rises significantly today. The American stock markets went up, albeit moderately, yesterday. Investors have apparently stopped caring about what Trump says. They are probably not the only ones. Even Iran’s leadership is likely very wary of what Trump says.

However, this is a very dangerous situation given how impulsive and fact-resistant Trump appears to be. Although his domestic popularity figures suggest that he will do his best to back down. Only if he can do so without losing face completely. But it does not seem to be a straightforward maneuver.

Of course, one hesitates to have compassion for Netanyahu, but he should have thought twice before getting in the same boat as Trump. When it suits Trump, he will throw Netanyahu under the bus.

    1. Dear Netanyahu,

Israel’s existence is in jeopardy with a nuclear-armed Iran. A regime that doesn’t hesitate to execute its own citizens at the slightest displeasure and in possession of nuclear weapons is a major risk for Israel. The actions they have taken are probably more on Israel’s initiative. Israel threatened, as I understand it, to use nuclear weapons against Iran if the USA did not launch bombing raids last summer against Iran’s nuclear capacity.

      1. Yes, one can understand Israel’s motives. But would Iran even dare to use them if they had access? They would probably be wiped out themselves. Similar to Putin. He would most likely become a “dead man walking” the day he started a nuclear war. And we have seen many signs of his fear of death. Not least during the pandemic. And would those ordered to fire actually do it? There are historical examples of commanders stopping nuclear wars by refusing to obey orders.

In any case, it is doubtful whether this war will ultimately strengthen Israel’s security. Trump’s popularity ratings are steadily declining. He is looking for a way to back out.

        1.  We may get an answer tonight, whether a “loan of civilization” in Iran is an obstacle. Regardless, it’s a gamble. The population of Israel lives with memories of threats of extermination not many generations ago.

        2. But is it really necessary?
Israel has its own nuclear weapons and various capabilities to deliver them to intended targets.
I see the motives of the Iranian regime to acquire nuclear weapons capability as similar to the motives that North Korea has to simply avoid being completely overrun and crushed in a conventional military conflict.

      2. Well, an Iran with nuclear weapons is not something to desire.

Good that they delayed Iran’s nuclear weapons program, but now it’s up to the USA and Israel to end it in the right way.

The way Trump is behaving now, even though it’s only words so far, it would be best for everyone if someone kindly but firmly escorts him out of the White House and locks him in a padded room. Even though Vance has not shown any particular brain activity either, maybe he can be better, he doesn’t seem to be as bloodthirsty, and can speak in complete sentences at least.

  9. Iran

Have they started early? Wasn’t it at 8:00 p.m. today that the deadline expired? A first scare?

“The Iranian oil island Kharg in the Persian Gulf is under attack, according to Iranian state media reports cited by Focus. According to the news agency, several explosions have occurred at the site, which was last attacked by the US in mid-March.

American government sources tell Axios that it is the US that has carried out attacks on the island.

Kharg is a crucial hub for Iran’s oil exports.”
    https://omni.se/iran-nya-attacker-mot-oljeon-kharg-i-persiska-viken/a/rrrBVA

    1. They probably only attack military targets on the island today to show how dangerous and tough they are. It could be different in a few days.

  10. Perfect, one step closer to avoiding dependency on China!

I suspect that it will be difficult to manufacture every single component oneself (without significant investments), but individual components are often quite cheap mass-produced items and many can probably also be purchased from elsewhere. It is enough to be able to handle the circuit boards and surface mounting of the components oneself to have taken a big step in the refining process and will save money that would otherwise go to China. Even if one would need individual components from China, it will be very difficult for them to stop the sale of individual components.

I guess that camera sensors (CCD/CMOS) are examples of things that one must buy, but if one can build the camera housing oneself, that will suffice.

“❗️The 🇺🇦Ukrainian company «General Chereshnya» and the 🇭🇷Croatian company ORQA will build an underground factory for UAV components in Ukraine. The parties plan to achieve full localization of production in order to eliminate dependence on foreign components.”

      1. They are running seven miles ahead of us.

This despite being in full war and having a severely affected electricity supply (and other infrastructure).

The fact that they are supposed to help in the Middle East with their interceptor drones is actually quite incredible.

  11. Iran

Is he planning to use nuclear weapons?

“Donald Trump is issuing new threats against Iran on social media.
“A whole civilization will die tonight, never to rise again,” he writes on Truth Social.
“I don’t want it to happen, but it probably will,” he continues in the post.
There are just over 12 hours left of Trump’s deadline against Iran.

“WHO KNOWS? We will find out tonight, one of the most important moments in the world’s long and complex history. 47 years of extortion, corruption, and death will finally come to an end,” Trump writes on the platform.”

    https://www.svt.se/nyheter/utrikes/senaste-nytt-om-iran-och-konflikten-med-usa-och-israel?inlagg=c27686a918dc249e44589d8f56986438

    1. “Donald Trump has previously been vague about his deadlines, but his new deadline and threat against Iran are very clear, according to BBC’s Anthony Zurcher in an analysis.

If Iran does not agree to Trump’s terms before the night falls, devastating attacks await. The president threatens to blow up every energy facility and every bridge in the country.

‘Backing down after such detailed threats, reinforced with profanity and serious warnings, could damage his credibility,’ writes Zurcher.

Trump’s threats against civil infrastructure put US officers in a tricky situation. If the president orders attacks, they must choose between refusing orders and assisting in committing war crimes, writes Julian Borger in The Guardian.

Almost all legal experts agree that such attacks constitute war crimes. Borger has spoken to two such experts who argue that the threats of massive attacks are not only illegal, they also violate moral and legal principles that the Pentagon has previously operated under.

Jacob Kaarsbo at TV2 does not believe that the US and Iran will reach an agreement before the night. He therefore expects new powerful attacks, mainly from the American side.

‘It will likely lead to a massive Iranian response,’ he says.”
      https://omni.se/analyser-hoten-fran-trump-kan-tvinga-usa-s-militar-att-bega-krigsbrott/a/Pddke5

    2. “A significant escalation of the Iran war could have long-lasting consequences for the oil price. That’s according to oil analyst Helge André Martinsen at DNB Carnegie to E24.

Martinsen points out that there is a gap between spot prices and more long-term contracts, where the latter have risen significantly less during the war.

What is certain, he argues, is that Iran will respond with targeted attacks on oil and gas infrastructure if the US and Israel make good on threats to attack infrastructure such as bridges and energy facilities.

      – We are facing a dramatic night, says Martinsen.

At the same time, he points out that deadlines have previously been postponed “time after time,” something also emphasized by SEB analyst Ole Hvalbye.

Oil prices rise at 1 p.m., after reports of explosions at Kharg Island. Brent crude is up 1.2 percent to $110 per barrel, while WTI crude rises 2.5 percent to nearly $115 per barrel.”
      https://omni.se/oljeanalytiker-vi-star-infor-en-dramatisk-natt/a/3ppW3L

    3. “Several high-ranking American politicians are demanding that Donald Trump be declared unfit for his job and removed in accordance with the 25th Amendment of the Constitution. This is reported by Al Jazeera.

‘Trump is escalating a devastating, illegal war, threatening massive war crimes, and attacking civil infrastructure in Iran. Just in the past 48 hours, his statements have crossed all red lines,’ writes Democratic House representative Yassamin Ansari on X.

Previously, several Democrats in Congress, including Ilhan Omar, Melanie Stansbury, and Chris Murphy, have called for Trump’s removal. Former Republican member Joe Walsh has also made similar statements.

According to the 25th Amendment of the American Constitution, the president’s ministers can remove him through a vote if they believe he is unable to perform his duties. At present, it does not seem likely that this will happen.”
      https://omni.se/demokrater-kraver-att-trump-avsatts-passerat-alla-roda-linjer/a/RjjvAJ

      1. We probably have to be patient until after the midterm elections in the fall. If Trump hasn’t lost it even more or suffered a total collapse in his cognitive abilities, there is a high probability that he will be subject to dismissal. This is because I also suspect that the remaining Republican congressmen want to try to rehabilitate themselves and save the party. I actually see a small, albeit not entirely unlikely, chance that we will also get rid of several members of the current administration, even Vance.

      2. He is “unfit to rule”.

There are certainly many other leaders who are as well, but they are not the president of the country with the world’s largest military. What he does and says affects the whole world. The president of the USA has too much power, that is clear.

    4. This is only two selected voices in Iran so if it is a widespread view, it is of course impossible to know.

“People in Iran are stocking up on water and charging their phones ahead of the expected US attacks. This is reported by AP.

By bombing the infrastructure, the US does not destroy the Islamic Republic. They only destroy us, says a young teacher to the news agency.

She says she believed in Trump’s promise to “kill some leaders” and end the regime.

Even 35-year-old Mahmoud Azimi is disappointed in US President Donald Trump.

We are going from one hell to another. I had hoped that Trump had something better to offer us, he tells AP.”
      https://omni.se/oro-i-iran-usa-forgor-inte-den-islamiska-republiken-bara-oss/a/PddW3X

    5. Interpreting it as even if young people and children were gathered around a target, it seems that no one will care about it.

Feels like both the USA and Iran have completely stopped caring about who is affected by the war. Suspect it will end in a humanitarian catastrophe before it’s over.

#BREAKING: Iran is now using children as human shields around power plants and bridges — hoping to protect their military targets from U.S. strikes.

      This is pure evil!

The same regime that screams “Death to America” is willing to sacrifice its own kids to shield its weapons.

President Trump made it clear: A whole civilization may die tonight… but after 47 years of extortion, corruption, and death, the Iranian people might finally be freed.
      No more hiding behind children.
No more playing games with human lives.
The regime is run by vile animals.

America will not be blackmailed by terrorists using kids as shields.

Pray for the innocent. Pray for the fall of this evil regime”

  12. Vance in Hungary

He is therefore not suggesting that the EU should buy American oil but specifically Russian.
It is not surprising that one wonders if Trump and the leadership in the White House actually stand on Russia’s side when seeing that kind of stupid statements.

“US Vice President JD Vance lashes out against the EU during his press conference with Hungary’s national conservative Prime Minister Viktor Orbán in Budapest ahead of the election on Sunday. Reuters reports.

    – The bureaucrats in Brussels want to destroy Hungary’s economy by making Hungary less energy independent and driving up consumer prices. They have done it because they hate this guy, says JD Vance side by side with Orbán.

He argues that the rest of the EU should instead do like Hungary and import Russian oil, according to TT.

Orbán is trailing the opposition by between 10 and 20 percent in the polls ahead of the election, according to the BBC.”
    https://omni.se/vances-attack-mot-eu-vill-forstora-ungerns-ekonomi/a/Arr6Kq

    1. Perhaps it would be time for other EU countries together with Japan, South Korea, and others, to review how much of American state bonds and dollar assets they initially consider quickly dumping to send a subtle signal to the USA.

      1. Yes, perhaps it is the most effective economic weapon we can use against the USA.

Unfortunately, it seems to work the other way around when the world is in turmoil.

The USA benefits from being seen as the safest place to invest, and the USA itself is not threatened in any way, and right now, during the oil crisis, they also have very good resources in that area. Even though they are also affected when prices rise, in their case it is mainly due to market adjustments and not a direct shortage.

The central banks in different countries naturally own a lot of government bonds, but to make a really big difference, it requires getting other banks, pension funds, insurance companies, and investment funds on board, etc. I don’t know what a country can actually decide on without breaking the laws.

But if all official institutions in Europe were to sell off, I suspect it would be enough to shake up the USA quite a bit. If Japan and South Korea, Canada, and others were to join in, interest rates in the USA would soar. Private actors will surely step in to buy instead, so much will be compensated for, but a high interest rate will have a significant impact on the USA, especially the costs of their national debt.

        1. I suspect that the Gulf states, too, are somewhat upset with the USA and may want to join in and show their dissatisfaction by starting to sell off American assets. When it comes to state pension funds, it is the government’s letter of appropriation that applies?

          1. If we include them as well.

When it comes to pensions and government letters, it sounds like you are more knowledgeable than me, but it sounds like there is a little greater leverage than I thought if that’s the case.

It may also be the case that private actors are involved as well.

    1. Good that you didn’t hesitate to show the pictures, MXT!
“Hate randomness” is an expression that is sometimes mentioned here on the blog. But this is truly “Admire randomness”.
The sun is 400 times the diameter of the moon and “happens to be” 400 times further away, which is the reason why the sun and the moon appear to be the same size when seen from Earth. This makes the moon perfectly cover the sun during a total solar eclipse.
Random? Yes, it is. But you probably knew about this phenomenon.

        1. Well, there are many world leaders who should take a trip around the moon to gain some perspective. A blue, white, and green globe, our sun, our gray moon, our solar system, and then empty space 4.5 light-years away.

And down here, we fight over borders and resources when we should be cooperating to ensure that future generations can also live here, there is no reserve planet within reach.

  13. The war has not at all gone as Trump imagined, encouraged by the outcome of the attack on Maduro. He probably wants to partly back out, but in order not to lose face, the result must be able to be described as a success. It is currently difficult to see how such a success could be described. The theocratic regime seems to still be in place, albeit with new people at the top. The most obvious result is immense devastation.

So what will he do? Of course, it depends a lot on what Iran offers that would give Trump the opportunity to save face. Iran’s approach seems impossible to guess. They seem prepared to sacrifice a lot.

By the way, it is somewhat unclear what has actually been achieved in Venezuela.

    1. Scared that you will get it right. Considering Trump’s very clear threats in recent days, it becomes impossible for him to back down unless Iran gives in to the extent that he can actually call it a victory, at the same time Iran does not seem to want to give him that. Afraid that it will end really badly for many innocent civilians.

The best one can hope for is perhaps well-targeted precision attacks where Iran’s leadership is once again knocked out and then so much that they eventually give in.

      1. More people reasoning like me.

“Donald Trump has painted himself into a corner with his latest threat that ”a whole civilization will die tonight”. This is according to Sky News military analyst Michael Clarke.

He believes that there is a possibility that Trump will back down from the threat, but history does not support that. He points out that the USA often tends to escalate once they have mobilized militarily. An example is when the USA gathered a large military force before the kidnapping of Venezuela’s President Nicolás Maduro, but also Tuesday’s attack on, among other things, railways and the oil island Kharg in Iran.

        – They usually hit the start button rather than the stop button, he says.

BBC’s Daniel Bush is on the same track.

”He must now decide whether to follow through on his threats and escalate the war or back down and undermine his credibility”, writes Bush.

He also wonders if Trump cares about the laws of war considering that he has threatened to target attacks on civilian infrastructure and not just military targets.”
        https://omni.se/analyser-donald-trump-har-malat-in-sig-i-ett-horn/a/aJJXv7

        1. Hmm, sounds alarmingly similar to Russia. “the only thing they can do is escalate”.

I’m also afraid of that. He can’t taco this time.

Now we are ending up in the same situation as Gaza/Israel. The Mullah regime, like Hamas, uses the civilian population as weapons, they know that Israel/USA will face more resistance the more civilians die. Israel became more and more brutal to reach Hamas and the hostages in the tunnels.

The Mullahs don’t have hostages in tunnels, but they have Hormuz, and Trump’s Ego, as long as they tease Trump he will escalate until he gets a heart attack, or the military simply refuses orders.

    2. Flurrevuppen

Regarding Venezuela…. was Maduro portrayed as a player in the talk about manipulated voting machines when “the election was stolen” in 2020?

So… is it something one wants to get from him now that one has him… a storyline about it ahead of the midterm election… so that the machines cannot be used… and create queues/chaos?

      1. “If an entire civilization is going to die tonight,” as Trump says, it is a massive escalation of the war. Then Vice President JD Vance should be by Trump’s side in the White House – not on a PR visit to Budapest.

  14. Trumps rhetoric isn’t that funny and surprisingly similar to Iran’s and Russia’s

“wipe out an entire people” did he have to write the speech himself?

JD Vance in Hungary – a strong signal that maybe we’re not completely off track in understanding how the USA thinks with Europe?

everything has been mentioned above just wanted to get it off my chest

  15. I have read somewhere that the USA is planning to withdraw 100,000 troops from Europe?

    Is that true?

I guess the Baltics are a priority.

    1. The USA has somewhere between 80k to 100k military personnel in Europe. I suspect that a fairly large portion of these will be moved from Europe, but does the USA really want to leave its bases here, as these mean extremely much for their ability to project power especially in the Middle East. If Trump and his accomplices were to too harshly and clearly go against the interests of the EU and the rest of NATO with similar scenarios as with Greenland or if Trump actively starts supporting the Russians.
I am convinced that the American troops will be sent home without their equipment, and if they want it back, they will have to cough up amounts far exceeding its replacement value.

    1. Someone might explain to Trump that Orwell’s masterpiece 1984 describes a dystopia and that “war is peace” is a newspeak that neither the Nobel Committee speaks nor understands, only his buddies Putin, Lukas, Orban, and others.

  16. That Russia wants to keep it closed is easy to understand but China? Well, of course, Uranium probably lets its deliveries through to them.

“China and Russia vetoed in the UN Security Council in a vote to reopen the Strait of Hormuz. The resolution from Bahrain was defeated by the numbers 11-2, several media outlets report. Bahrain’s Foreign Minister Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani is very critical and argues that Iran’s closure sends the wrong signals to the world and the world’s population. – The signal that threats to international waterways occur without decisive action from the international organization responsible for maintaining peace and security. Colombia and Pakistan abstained from voting. Even if the resolution had been adopted, it is unlikely that the strait would actually have been opened, the news agency AP writes.”

    1. Well, actually a bit strange stance by China there. They do get around 20% of their oil from Russia, as I understand it around 40% comes from the Middle East, so that should affect them quite a bit when Hormuz is closed.

They have probably been quite silent otherwise lately. They are probably sitting and observing, waiting for Trump to make a fatal mistake, and for them to shoot as many resources as possible towards Iran.

It could also be that the weapons they had delivered didn’t work as intended, so they had to go back to the drawing board, if they even used them at all.

  17. Belarus, Hungary, Slovakia.

The USA wants a weak and divided Europe.

Hungary planned to attack Ukraine when Kirv fell but Kiev never fell.

The USA supports them only because they create friction in the EU.

Throughout 2026, they are just as much against the EU as China.

and we don’t have the full picture about China yet so it could be more or much less…

  18. “❗️A few minutes ago, American/Israeli forces carried out a bomb strike on Arak Aluminum Company — Iran’s largest aluminum plant”

  19. “❗️Missile alert has been declared in 🇷🇺Russia’s Orenburg region.

    Local residents are reporting explosions.

The area is about 1,200 km from the 🇺🇦Ukrainian state border”

  20. In a phone call with Fox News journalist Jacqui Heinrich on Tuesday evening, Donald Trump says that the USA is in “intense negotiations” regarding the Iran war, without going into details. He also does not want to comment on Pakistani President Shebaz Sharif’s plea to postpone the deadline by two weeks. “I can say this: I know him very well. He is a respected man, everywhere,” says Trump. Earlier in the day, Trump threatened that “an entire civilization will be killed tonight” if Iran does not agree to a ceasefire deal before 02:00 Swedish time.

  21. A bit of humor anyway, Trump declares a ceasefire and claims he has defeated the mullahs, yet they rain robots over Israel as soon as it came into effect 😀

How a popular revolution is supposed to happen with a two-week ceasefire is unclear 😐

  22. Now every Shi’a loyal militia is inside Iran, they have even flown in commercially – this surpasses my understanding.

From Afghanistan, Pakistan, and Iraq. It’s probably only the Syrians missing.

  23. ”But likely, the president’s statement was pure tactics to pressure the regime. It’s called the ”madman theory” and was used by Richard Nixon during the Vietnam War. The purpose is for the opponent to believe that one is crazy and therefore capable of anything, in order to force negotiations.

Whether it contributed to an agreement being reached 90 minutes before Trump’s deadline expired at 8 p.m. on Tuesday evening is unclear.”

Well… the madman theory was certainly… but the enemy to be misled by this was not Iran but the domestic opinion among his own ranks.

Now he can sell his own capitulation as a great victory to his own people. It seems to be Iran’s 10 points that form the basis of the ceasefire. These imply total American capitulation.
